dUSt
Our "Phatmasser Wall of Blog" is looking rather undernourished these days. A few of the phatmassers that I had feeding this page have seemingly stopped blogging back in April. Anybody else have an authentically Catholic blog they'd like to appear on this page? http://www.phatmass.com/catholic-blogosphere/

Eowyn
Well, I have a blog - Mary's Little Garden. It is pretty catholic, aside from short bursts of Perry Como.

Era Might
Imprimatur! Read your post about objective beauty, you wrote "For instance, in Florence I saw this painting in person, and I was absolutely captivated by it." Certainly it's beautiful in its way, but I don't really like it, don't like the softness and overdone emotion. I tend not to believe in the idea of "objective beauty," or a universal beauty. I think beauty is inherently individual and communitarian. It's the kind of thing where "you had to be there," not necessarily literally, but you have to adopt the artist's worldview to really appreciate the beauty. I don't think beauty reflects the divine so much as the divine reflects what we see as beauty (i.e., we project ourselves onto the divine). I wouldn't say the Incarnation is the standard of beauty, but just the opposite, the Incarnation shows that beauty is not objective, but takes on any number of forms: Jew, Greek, Barbarian, Male, Female, etc. Beauty, if anything, is the Holy Spirit, rather than the Incarnation. It blows where it will. A good topic for the debate table. Edited July 12, 2013 by Era Might

My flight leaves tomorrow at 6am, so my PM use will be inconsistent at best until I get home in August.
CrossCuT
I always thought it would be fun to expose the world to my thoughts through a blog and someday be so popular because of it they would make a movie about me...but alas I am much too busy with work and school. :(
BG45
I didn't even know we had this. Do we link to Phatmass from our blog to get the posts to show up there?
arfink
If you keep your blog up to date, it's likely dUSt will link to you. I didn't do anything to get in there, just one day Missy was like "TONY LOOK LOOK!" and I saw it, and it was very cool. :)
