God the Father

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are both gay--in fact they are probably gay together--and their art is also gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. We have seen many gay masterpieces over the years created by gay legends like Elton John, Lance Bass, and Adam Lambert. As Jazz and Rock were once derided as "black" music, we will probably see a new wave of "gay" music gradually begin to dominate the mainstream airwaves.

Just one man's opinion; incidentally this song is not very good, and the word "youtube" in a song will never not make me laugh.

What masterpieces has Lance Bass contributed to humanity?

Neither our government nor any other government has ever developed a policy by which gay marriages were permitted. It is the default position in all human experience to "prohibit" gay marriage, although it has seldom been officially prohibited simply because no one ever dreamed to ask for it.

That's not a particularly good argument because human societies have all sorts of taboos. Just look at our own: we have a taboo against polygamy that many other societies throughout history did not have.

You mean you don't consider the Chili's Babyback Ribs Song to be one of the greatest masterpieces humanity has ever produced?!?

Lol, since when was Macklemore the spokesman for liberals?

Dude, are you kidding? Read his wiki entry. He's flaming liberal.

True.  Liberals wouldn't consider him their spokesman, though... at least I hope not.

Stupid is as stupid does...

Anyway yeah the Catholic Church will continue till the end of time to push for Christianized societies, it is a part of the faith. The rise in homosexuality may well be a temporary one, they cannot reproduce, in time their power will fall away.

Wait, when you say "Christianized societies", do you mean theocracies? I wasn't aware of this.

That's right, and one Pope to rule them ALL! MUAHAHAHAHAhahahaa!!!

But no that's not what I mean. A society can be based on Christian ideals without being an theocracy.

From the CCC:

2105 The duty of offering God genuine worship concerns man both individually and socially. This is "the traditional Catholic teaching on the moral duty of individuals and societies toward the true religion and the one Church of Christ."30 By constantly evangelizing men, the Church works toward enabling them "to infuse the Christian spirit into the mentality and mores, laws and structures of the communities in which [they] live."31 The social duty of Christians is to respect and awaken in each man the love of the true and the good. It requires them to make known the worship of the one true religion which subsists in the Catholic and apostolic Church.32 Christians are called to be the light of the world. Thus, the Church shows forth the kingship of Christ over all creation and in particular over human societies.33

Maybe my lack of understanding comes from... a lack of understanding. I don't see how this quote necessarily points to legalizing morality.

Just law is the legalization of morality. Laws against theft, murder, rape, abuse, are all laws based on morality.

In like manner, when the Church calls us to our duty to infuse the Christian spirit into the laws and mores of our societies that we belong to it is pointing to the legalizing of morality.

To what degree, though? I'm trying to figure out how there are Catholic libertarians if this is the case.
