jazzytakara
So I went to confession today, but since the confessionals were in a new location they didn't have the Act of Contrition posted near by. Being new to the faith, I am still learning to memorize the prayers, so the priest said I could say it with my penance in the sanctuary. So I google the prayer on my phone, get ready to read it...when an add for Twinrex the Hepatitis Vaccine begins to play loudly in the church....the advertisers of course chose to market the product by stating how much I probably need the vaccine...so awkward...It went off twice too...so I chose another website for the prayer and plan to bring a paper copy of the Act of Contrition for next time just in case I still haven't memorized it.. my new goal. Nihil Obstat
If you have a smartphone you should download Laudate. Very good app.
Oremoose
I use the confession app on my ipod touch...https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/confession-roman-catholic/id416019676?mt=
Eowyn
I have a couple of holy cards in my purse with the act of contrition on them cuz I'm a convert and sometimes my brain shuts down (as it did yesterday at confession.) As far as phones randomly making noise, I have Pandora on my phone. If I accidently bump the phone, Perry Como starts to sing. Amazing. jazzytakara
I have heard good things about Laudete, I think I will download it or a prayer/catholic app and carry prayer cards for the future...

brianthephysicist
If you don't remember the exact form of a certain act of contrition, you can make an act of contrition in your own words. I like to do that from time to time. Helps keep the meaning of the words alive for me.
EmilyAnn
I use an app called Mea Culpa when I go to Confession. Works like a charm - and no noises. :P

Nihil Obstat
If someone asked me to make up a personal act of contrition on the spot, I would definitely freeze up. I can compose excellent prayers in my head, but I need time for revision.
