Byzantine
Are they on the level? Just wondering because I've got some stuff I'd like to donate somewhere...
BG45
Not an expert, but as far as I know, I think they are. We have one locally that I've donated clothes to from the drop-off box outside my parish. Don't know if they have any skeletons in the closet, like Goodwill really stiffing its disabled employees on pay.
Noel's angel
Yes...well certainly in Ireland they are extremely well-respected.
AnneLine
Here in the States they do a lot of good work. I don't know about GoodWill... they have a very good reputation in my part of the U.S. In my area, they do subsidized training and help a lot of people get jobs and learn good work skills.... it may depend a lot on your local outfit. CatherineM
They are here, and big time great back in St. Pete, Florida.
Luigi
The St. Vincent DePaul Society is as straight-arrow, on-the-level, good-works-not-expecting-anything-in-return as you can find on the face of the earth. And they have been for a couple of centuries now.
