ithinkjesusiscool
Pax! This is what I've heard: If Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is celebrated on July 1 then the Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ won't be celebrated at all that year. Why not just move the Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ to another day?
ToJesusMyHeart
IDK but I celebrated it anyway. :bananarap:
the_rev
The feast of the Precious Blood has been joined to the feast of Corpus Christi, so to my understanding the July 1st observation is limited to specific congregations and communities.
ToJesusMyHeart
The Traditional Church celebrates it.
ACS67
The Traditional Church celebrates it. I think what you mean is the 1962 calendar celebrates this feast (and earlier calendars) and therefore those who attend the Mass according to the 1962 calendar celebrate this feast on July 1. There is no "Traditional Church".

ToJesusMyHeart
So Pre-Vatican 2 Rather than Vatican 2? Vatican 2 is cool. The V2 documents are cool. Theology of the Body is cool. Changes to the Mass that were uncalled for and just sort of happened by popular misconception....not so cool. please don't tell me that the last true pope was Pius XII? No. I'm not SSPX or sedevacantist. I love JP2, Bene, and Papa Francesco and their papalness. :)

There is no "Traditional Church". Don't axe her, use your brain. She means the traditional MASS, perhaps the extraordinary form of holy mass(i know there are other forms of the latin rite too.). This mincing of words must be stopped now, i've had enough of it, it's horrible, i get axed for it all to often here. JESUS iz LORD. Yes, I did mean the TLM/EF/non-modernized form of the Mass. I forgot that on Phatmass you have to be super duper careful how you phrase these incredibly touchy issues. Apologies. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
I can't edit multiple times for some reason. Here is my more light hearted charitable modified post. Don't axe her, use your brain. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
lol, that wasn't even my edited version lol. I assure you the correct edited version was more light hearted and charitable i will write it now. Don't axe her,She means the traditional MASS, perhaps the extraordinary form of holy mass(i know there are other forms of the latin rite too.). This mincing of words is bad, it's horrible, i get axed for it all to often here. I think there is a biblical passage for this. st paul says something like "don't mince anothers words." yes this is where the saying comes from. JESUS iz LORD. ACS67
I meant no offense to you TJMH but you did choose your words poorly. There really are those in the "traditionalist" Catholic world (small though it is) who really believe there are 2 churches. When I read your words it gave me "flashbacks." I use to attend SSPX chapels. Tabby, As stated above I meant no offense to TMJH. However, she is applying to a religious order and if accepted she will need to learn how to accept correction graciously. Just my thoughts....
