A Question Concerning Harry Potter

I was told that J.K. Rowling admitted some of the spells used in Harry Potter are actual real spells. Can anyone confirm this? I'm quite skeptical about it.

I know the idea for the book just dropped into her head.  One wonders where exactly it dropped from, but I think we all know the answer to that do we not?  Indeed we do.

The whole enterprise stinks of sulfur from top to bottom and that's all that needs to be said about such Illuminati trash.

I have heard the same. and i would not be surprised if it were true but its not like if wiggle a twig and shout them anything would happen.

Besides real spells or not it is made up story so you won't endanger your soul by reading them.

There's no truth to that.

Yes.  Drink this corn syrup flavored popular beverage my pretty.  It's only got a bit of rat poison in it.  You won't endanger your body by drinking it.

There's nothing objectionable to Harry Potter.

She was a Classics major, and has said that most of them she either got from a botany textbook or are just garbled Latin.

Actual, real spells involve rituals, not simple magic words. And if you ever look at the "New Age" section of a bookstore, all the "spellbooks" just have bad poetry in English.

Not that I'm saying go look at the New Age section of your local bookstore.  Don't do that.   :hehe2:

A soon as you mentioned the Illuminati, everything you have ever said was placed into the "Ignore" category in my brain. If you want an actual secret organization that is actually a threat to the Catholic Church, you should focus your attention on the Freemasons.

The Illuminati did exist, but there is no evidence of their current existence.

Unless you count Dan Brown novels. But that's only so much garbage as well.

Of course not.  There's nothing objectionable in Game of Thrones either.  What's wrong with a little evil after all?  As long as it's enmeshed round a cracklin neat story, we all good. :console:

Of course there's no evidence of their current existence.  Duh.  Do you think they're stupid?  I've never, nor would I ever, accuse those people of being stupid.

Lack of evidence is, in fact, the only evidence we need.  QED

Furthermore, the Freemasons are a front group, as are the Lions Clubs, Odd Fellows, Mormons and such other of those ilk.  They are practiced at the art of deceit, masquerading even as an angel of light while carrying out their wicked designs in secret.  Much like the author of Harry Potter, which brings us full circle does it not?  Indeed it does.

I assure you, madam, I am not trolling.

I'm formulating a hypothesis in my spare time.  Sometimes I post ideas.  I've reached a few conclusions but nothing firm as of yet.
