Didacus
Hello all! Check out this link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DPO6A3E Its a book an old friend of mine got recently published - part of the profits from the sale of the book goes to charity. Here is the preface of the book as seen by myself: Written in a style which everyone can enjoy, <Rain from Heaven> tells the story of a futuristic world gone wrong within which, with the help of God, redemption is possible. The characters are faced with dilemmas testing their faith and moral resolve in a manner which can relate to everyone. Outlined with a clever plot with an end twist to remember, the book can be a joy to share with friends and family of all ages. Check it out pham! CrossCuT
This looks very interesting. I lead a book club and although we are on a small break for the summer, I wouldnt mind learning a bit more about this book as a suggestion for them or just read it on my own. Didacus
For someone accustomed to reading, it would be a quick read. A kind of relaxing but yet reflective type read. Let me know if you have any questions - or if you end up looking into the book.
CrossCuT
How apparent are the religious tones in the book? Some of the girls in my book club are not religious so I dont want it to seem like I shoving it down their throat.
Didacus
You wouldn't be able to tell that they are catholic, or Christian for that matter - no direct references to religious as such, more so towards belief in God. The book is based in an alien world, and no reference to religion within that world as such - but God and his angels to act in the story.
