Believing that the earth is the center of the universe is nihil obstat, nothing contrary to faith. Why? Because it doesn't particularly have anything to do with faith, therefore can not be contrary to faith.

I can have an imaginary friend named boogaloo because it has nothing contrary to faith, unless boogaloo causes me to sin.

Boogaloo was a stupid example, sorry. Unsure how to explain what i believe on the matter, just that whether or not the planets and sun rotate around the earth or the earth and planets rotate around the sun, isn't directly going to effect Faith in Christ. That's what i think the magesterium and popes are getting at.
