CreepyCrawler
well it's not even just that. the Church teaches it's a mortal sin for people who are heterosexual who are commiting mortal sins to receive communion, too. but people don't see that. and so many badly catechised people don't know it, either. CatholicAndFanatical
[rant] thats not the point Creepy, you dont see heterosexual people throwing their sexual preference in peoples faces either like you do some homosexual groups. Had they just kept their mouth shut they prolly would of been able to recieve the Eucharist because no one would know anything about them, it would be between them and God. but they have to open their mouths, wear special clothing that shouts out "HEY IM GAY AND IM AGAINST THE CHURCH" and then cry because the Church doesnt recognize their actions as moral, and they never will. They have to shove their lives down our throats and demand for US to change so that THEY wont be unnatural. Their whole agenda, this Rainbow Sash, is to force the Church to say its ok to be gay and allow them to live their gay lifestyle and still be in union with the Church. News Flash, aint gonna happen. Being gay is not a sin, no one is saying this. Living a gay lifestyle IS a sin, just as living a heterosexual lifestyle by having sex outside of marriage IS a sin. BeenaBobba
You know what? I'm going to email the priest about what he did and how I think it's horrible. God bless, Jennifer
Ash Wednesday
Cardinal George was right on. I can't believe he's so famous now! He confirmed me 10 years ago when he was our local diocesan bishop!
BeenaBobba
I've emailed the priest, and I plan on emailing the bishop, but first I need to know how to properly address a bishop in a letter. Anyone know? God bless, Jennifer
Phazzan
Well, you certainly are fanatical, CAF. Millions of people around the world take Communion whilst in a state of mortal sin. I'm probably the only person at my parish who doesn't, and it's awfully hard to believe everyone is in a state of grace. I don't think there's any need to get physically violent, that would be wrong IMO, all you can do really is lobby the Bishop to take some action. Norseman82
Cardinal George was right on. I can't believe he's so famous now! He confirmed me 10 years ago when he was our local diocesan bishop!
I definitely had a smile when I saw in the Chicago Tribune a picture of my former English teacher (who is now pastor of Holy Name Cathedral) refusing communion to one of the "sashies". Luckily nobody tried anything at my parish.
