CatholicAndFanatical
Pham, Been awhile since I wrote here, but I just read on the foxnews site that this group interupted Mass yesterday, by the Grace of God they were denied the Eucharist in Chicago, but in minnesota they were allowed to recieve despite the other parishinors pleas and trying to stop them. Had I of been there I would of forceably removed them from my area. The Priest that allowed them the Eucharist cited that it was not just the Rainbow sash's fault but also the Parishinors because they tried to stop it. The Rev. Michael Skluzacek said in a written statement that both sides were "mistakenly using the Mass and the Eucharist to make their own personal statements." I emailed the Priest, telling him out sickened I am with Bishops and Priests being too scared to stand up for Christ. I am emailing His Bishop to as to what He had done. Below are the Email address's and the article in which I read that got me so fired up. Please read the article, email this Priest and tell him to repent of his actions and stand up for Christ. Email His Bishop to make sure that He stands up for Christ. traichuoi
at the bottom of that site they have a link to what they call "A Roman Catholic Site" but it's called "OnceCatholic.org" which is grossly un-Catholic...fox news I believe would go to hell if a tv station could go to hell... Aloysius
umm... you're not comparin them to other news stations sayin that, are you? cause Fox News is A TON better than any other news station. Fox has the closest chance of goin to purgatory whereas CNN and MSNBC would prolly be in Hell. since these aren't real souls they're fair game for judgement! Aloysius
by the way, i figured since i'm in a remote suburb area it wouldn't happen, but nonetheless i glanced over the congregation to make sure no one had rainbow sashes on. If they did i wouldn't have let them get the Eucharist, and i would've made a scene if they tried to! but on contrast, perhaps as a reward for my fidelity and loyalty in praying to God over so many issues, the Mass was one of the most reverent Masses i've seen at my parish. if i ever see someone with a rainbow sash on about to receive communion, i'll jump in front of em with my mouth open and safeguard His precious Body in my mouth. homeschoolmom
Was in only in St. Paul that rainbow sash people were allowed to receive? I know someone who was at the cathedral yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to talk to him about what exactly took place. I thought this was a national happening... EcceNovaFacioOmni
Pure garbage. "Rainbow Sash" should be ashamed for outwardly mocking Jesus Christ.
Ellenita
The article says the idea started in England. I bet it was something begun by Peter Tatchells group if so - they have disrupted an number of church services in the UK though they tend to target the Anglican church.
The report I read only stated St Paul. Im hoping someone else has news of the Parish that recieved and Im going to email that parish and their bishop to defend it. Like you guys if I did see this happen i would definitly stand up and recieve for them instead. Im a big guy, no ironmonk, but big enough to physically carry one of them out if I had to..anything to keep them from dephaming my Lord.
I had to stop myself before emailing the webmaster at FoxNews and think about this. Its not FoxNews fault for that link being there, its a google ad, and it takes a certain criteria based on the subject of that page and gives a few results as if you was to write 'Catholic' into its google bar. Unfortunatly thats what came up. I think there is a way to spoof it though, but that would mean fox news deliberatly added a criteria to make it search for that site. Ash Wednesday
Hm. Does that mean I should wear a special sash as a heterosexual, and throw a fit if I'm denied communion if I choose to fornicate with my boyfriend before marriage? Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? :shame:
CreepyCrawler
if rainbow sash is supporting gay rights as in, civil rights like all other citizens of the u.s., then it's not a problem. if they are trying to force society and the Church to accept extra-marital sexual practices, then i think that the chicago church was definitely right. Luthien
...People are getting love confused with acceptance. Would you let someone who was messin' animals go receive the Lord? Don't think so....
