ToJesusMyHeart
Point of Order to decide if Davis broke the rules by having a back brace put on and taking a break from talking. Logic says yes. Will the senate obey logic?
LittleWaySoul
Point of Order to decide if Davis broke the rules by having a back brace put on and taking a break from talking. Logic says yes. Will the senate obey logic? This is embarrassing. They're bickering over stupid rules about stupid filibusters that have nothing to do with the original bill and its merits or lack thereof. What happened to logical, rational, and civil discussion on the issue at hand? I mean, WHAT THE ACTUAL-- :mad5:

LittleWaySoul
Wait. Okay. So she got a second warning. Right?
CrossCuT
Props. I think it shows there's a problem if we are not disgusted by attempts to defend what is in fact the murder of unborn children. While we should exercise Christian charity, we must remember that this what abortion is all about. We should never lose sight of that. :winner: You're a better person than me then. She makes me sick. She makes me sick too. Anyone who spends their energy trying to continue a genocide is NOT worthy of respect.
ToJesusMyHeart
:winner: She makes me sick too. Anyone who spends their energy trying to continue a genocide is NOT worthy of respect. Fully agree with you. :) Praying she loses her voice or breaks another rule!!!
CrossCuT
And I cant help it that I am passionate about this topic. I hope we all are. I hope we use up every ounce of our being trying to stop this evil. The devil is working through her and using her voice. We need to be vigilant in the defense of the unborn. I normally agree with your posts, but here I'd have to disagree with you. She is worthy of respect for the single reason that she was made and is loved infinitely by God. That alone earns her respect. Furthermore, she is showing incredible endurance, composure, and poise in this filibuster, and isn't talking about irrelevant crap like most people filibustering a bill do. She knows what she's talking about. So I wouldn't agree that she doesn't deserve respect. But I do agree that she's wrong. Pray that her filibuster will be stopped somehow so that the bill can pass. :amen:

He is whispering into her ears, "Keep going, you can do it, you can finish! Abortion must remain available! Don't stop, Wendy! You will let down all those people in orange up there if you quit now. You MUST kill this pro-life bill! You MUST fight for the right to kill babies!"

However I do not like how this extremely serious case is turning into a conversation about catheters, and her composure. There are lives on the line. We all need to pray.
