ToJesusMyHeart
Oh my gosh! What for?! Guess you weren't watching the live stream? They were going BALLISTIC. Screaming, chanting, yelling, being totally out of order, bellowing threats. None of that is permitted in the gallery.
VeniJesuAmorMi
I just read that it didn't pass. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Immaculate Heart of Mary, Pray for us. VeniJesuAmorMi
It appears that it didn't pass. Prayers are never wasted though, and we certainly have to keep up our prayers for this cause. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/06/26/texas-lawmaker-filibusters-against-abortion-bill/

dominicansoul
Unfortunately it did not pass. The Capitol was in chaos tonite. All those protestors should be thrown in jail for causing a vote to be delayed. Gov. Perry needs to call an additional special session and close the vote to the public because those obnoxious idiots didn't allow the vote to be heard. We have our elected officials those jerks protesting are NOT the voice if the people. As for people praising Wendy Davis, don't they understand she was doing it to keep killing babies? Smh. They were pretty quiet when I was watching (earlier this afternoon). Bad day for pro-aborts, eh? ;-) TJMH: I want to thank you for keeping us all so wonderfully informed throughout this whole thing. I don't usually read news, so if you hadn't updated us so faithfully, I would not have known ANY of this. I am very grateful to you. :-) And at the same time: Aren't you the one applying to the Sisters of Life? If you are, then WOW, have you found your calling! I don't think I've ever seen another person so passionately determined to end abortion as you. :-) God bless you!
Gabriela
Wait. On checking the news, I see conflicting reports all within the past few hours. Is there an OFFICIAL statement from the Senate???
VeniJesuAmorMi
From what I read, "An hour later, Dewhurst was still insisting the 19-10 vote was in time, but said, "with all the ruckus and noise going on, I couldn't sign the bill." This was from an updated news article from Fox news. I wonder if anything can be done about this now? Could it be done again? Dear Blessed Mother, pray for us. Gabriela
If that's the case, then I'm sure it will boil down to legalistic details: i.e., do the rules say the vote had to be done by midnight, or that the bill had to be signed by midnight?
franciscanheart
Of course it didn't pass; they voted after the session ended. What they tried to pull is donkey poo.
ToJesusMyHeart
Due to the democrats and their riots and mobs, the bill was not able to be signed before midnight. Gov. Perry expected to call a 2nd special session and pass the bill at that time.
