Gabriela
HELP, PLEASE. :-( It finally arrived (taking about twice as long as Fasttech said it would). I now have in my possession this: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10001733/1126201-ce4-6-in-1-1100mah-rechargeable-double-e-cigarette (Though only one of them.) The instructions are supposed to be in English, but they're not really. I did make out that I need to charge the thing 8 hours before using it the first time. I'm doing that. But I've read online that you often need to prime the... atomizer? The glass part. Whatever you call it. I've blown on both ends of it and nothing comes out. Do I need to do anything else with this thing before I start using it? Also, y'all keep talking about atomizers and clearomizers and cartomizers. What's the difference? Here's what I'm thinking: 1) Both clearomizers and cartomizers are types of atomizers. 2) Clearomizers are permanent glass atomizers that can be refilled (like what I have). 3) Cartomizers are "cartridges" that come pre-filled with e-liquid and must be disposed of and replaced when empty. Is that right? Sorry to everyone that I'm so retarded when it comes to figuring all this out! But thank you VERY much for all your help! :-)

Is that right? Sorry to everyone that I'm so retarded when it comes to figuring all this out! But thank you VERY much for all your help! :-) Considering it shipped from Hong Kong, that's really fast. With the other Chinese vendors, it takes 4-6 weeks, and even then you have to pay up the ace for shipping. You're right. Clearomizers and cartomizers are just types of atomizers. Cartomizers can come pre-filled, but you can buy the empty ones and fill them yourself. Wicks are used in clearomizers, and a kind of cotton substance (similar to a cigarette but) is used in cartomizers. There's also a bunch of other types of atomizers, but I wont confuse you any more than you already are :P I wouldn't worry about priming it. Just take the eliquid and squeeze it into the outer perimeter of the clearomizer. Make sure you dont get any in the center cylinder part. Let it sit for five minutes or so, and it should be ready to go.
Chestertonian
Do you live in the US? The ecigs you linked to have a European plug adapter! I really hope you didn't order those on accident.

I'm trying to fill the clearomizer, but no matter how gently or firmly I squeeze the liquid out of the little needle-head bottle, it goes everywhere BUT the atomizer glass. It's in the battery connection part and it's coming out the mouthpiece. The wick appears to be getting wet, but mostly it's just all over the place. It's like it just won't go into the glass. What the bleep, man?

I do live in the US, but I just linked to the first one I found on the Fasttech website. I got a USB adapter, not a wall plug. That part's good. The atomizer, on the other hand, has now dripped eliquid all over my keyboard and ankles. I don't suppose you might be willing to meet me in Skype so you can literally SHOW me how to do this? Please tell me my ecig is not faulty and that I'm just doing something incredibly stupid...

Gabriela
UPDATE I now have three working ecigs. I figured out what was wrong with the first one: That little wick coil thing in the atomizer wasn't screwed in properly. As I was pouring out the eliquid to send it back to the manufacturer (whose customer service I do not recommend), it just about fell out of the atomizer. When I saw the threads on the bottom of it, I knew... So it works now. And the other two just arrived. I'm charging them, but they're American, so hopefully they'll work. I've filled the atomizers and now have three varieties of liquid to vape. I've been vaping off the first one for a day and a half. I'm pleased. :-) Thank you all for all of your help. I think that this might just really help me to quit smoking once and for all! We should start a vaping etiquette thread. Who's in?

I would have felt really bad if you went through all that trouble and you hated it. What flavor eliquid did you end up with? And ya, I'm down for the vaping etiquette thread. Considering vaping is kind of esoteric, maybe we should open in on the lame board.

What flavor eliquid did you end up with? And ya, I'm down for the vaping etiquette thread. Considering vaping is kind of esoteric, maybe we should open in on the lame board. I've been vaping "Mints" flavor for two days. My second battery will be charged in 26 minutes and I'll try some coffee and menthol then. (Obviously I'm a big mint fan.) I have to say, after visiting the Mt. Baker Vapor website, I'm kinda' appalled at all the flavors out there. I mean, do we really need a vapor flavor for every single soda, candy, and liquor ever made? Ridikuluss. I don't open threads in the Lame Board, because I am not lame. I'll open the etiquette thread now in the Open Mic. If someone should erroneously move one of my threads to the Lame Board, let them suffer God's wrath. Chestertonian
What a strange thing to be appalled about. Personally, I like trying out all of the different flavors.
