So I'm on attempt # 10,547,563 of quitting smoking. It's been 11 days so far and I must say it's been the most enjoyable quit so far thanks to e cigarettes! I was wondering if any PM'ers like to vape as well? I currently have a Vision Spinner variable voltage/wattage battery with an iClear 16 clearomizer. I've got 3 different flavors, all in 16mg: pineapple, Mountain Dew (tastes sooo good!), and strawbacco, which is a strawberry/tobacco mix. Yummy.

 

These devices are a lifesaver! My dad has cut back to 5-10 cigs a day vs. 30+ with his new kit, my friend has quit all together with e cigs, I love em! So are there any nerds like me around PM?  :bounce:

 I vape too. I use V2cigs, best vape on the market supposedly, you get a full lung of vapour. I hope these are better than cigarettes, no tar, no carbon monoxide, and no 100s of other chemicals. I have effects as of yet, side effects to nicotine are not common, i researched it. There are side effects but uncommon, and i could only find a few side effects to the chemical used to create the vapour, i can't remember what it is called but there where only 3 known side effects to it and i have had none of these after 4 months of vaping. I was a 50 rollies a day smoker. I haven't decreased the amount i'm puffing though, at first i did but than somone convinced me to switch from 12s from 18s which i did but found myself vaping more so wen't back to 18s and couldn't slow down the amount i was puffing from the 12s.

Seriously: How do you know it's a reputable company? Did you order from here? Does anyone have this ecig? How long did it last? (China... you know.)

 

And how does one slowly decrease one's usage over time? Are there "juices" with lower nicotine content, such that one can vape the same amount but receive less nicotine, until one's down to no nicotine at all?

 

Does vaping cause any kind of problems (like sore throat)? I've heard some people get sore throats from it...

 

The disposable one I used was just plain nicotine flavor. It was awful. Was that a mistake? I love mint nargila (hookah). Would the mint-flavored "juice" (sorry, but personally, I find that a really disgusting word to use for this stuff!) taste like a mint nargila? Final fantasy question: Would it actually make my mouth taste and smell like I've been sucking on breathmints all day long? ;-)

 Health wise nicotine isn't a problem, serious nicotine side effects are very uncommon, research it for yourself if you don't believe me. Also driving a car is addictive also, as is t.v./fantasy and also having a great garden in you back and/or front yard. I choose none of these, i choose nicotine. I can pray in my mind while vaping and i can talk about jesus again when i'm vaping, i can even read holy scripture while vaping. Can you do that while watching t.v ? I say no to hollywood and yes to vaping. Seriously though, don't use it if you never have smoked, but it is a better alternative to the tobacco where offered by the british america tobacco company.

DX is Chinese company my aussie cousins told me about. They sell a wide range of things (including e-cigs) and they ship to the US for free but it takes about 3 weeks to get a package. They're legit.

 V2cigs australia only do express post in australia, you only have to give 1 to 2 days packing and posting mon-thu. Usually if you order before 2 oclock mon-thurs it arrives the next day. And the postage fee is reasonable. V2cigs in the u.s.a are probably fair dinkum too.

also curiosing, if your a hard core smoker, lets say more than 30 a day, your going to need a hard core vapor, and that is v2cigs. V2 cigs says they have the best vapor on the market, you get a good lung full, i've seen 2 others and there is only a hint of vapor from the puff. Me personally need to feel it going down my throat and filling up my lungs, if your the same i suspect you will require V2cigs.I'm not really into the fluffy flavors, so i go for sahara and congress.

I dunno I've tried those cigalike kits and the battery life was disappointing. I prefer the variable voltage kits. You can get them for ~70 bucks and I get huge clouds of vapor. Plus you can buy any flavor in the world and refill yourself rather than buy cartridges. Glad it works for you though. Whatever keeps us from cigarettes!

It's a vision spinner. I am not exclusive to clearomizers, but they came with my kit and it is what I'm used to. What do you recommend? I know a lot of people don't like clearomizers.

I used to use the boge 510 cartomizers exclusively, but now I think I prefer DCT tanks.

When you say huge clouds of vapor, what do you mean? How many seconds when you used to smoke did you draw back for? 1-2 seconds or 3-5 seconds, just as a rough gauge as to what you mean by a huge amount of vapor. V2cigs say they have the best vapor on the market, so i believe them, perhaps i have been misled.

 

I was also led to believe those self fill e-cigs are illegal in australia, because you can give yourself an 80mg hit if you wan't. Is this true?

 Already i think i don't like the self fill ecigs with names like ego twist and vision spinner. Sounds to sensual for my liking. Sounds like there baiting people to have 80mg hits.
