Resizing An Image Question

I am trying to blow up an image and turn it into a poster. I was able to figure out the pixel size equivalent to the height and width I want in images. I then used GIMP to enlarge it to the pixel size I want. Now, how do I go about printing it so it prints from an inkjet as multiple pages that I can then tape together?

Depending on your printer, when you bring up the print dialogue try the button that says advanced or printing options.  Usually under there, or sometimes in the main dialogue itself, there will be a poster option.  It should give a couple options on how many sheets it will print and how to size it.
