This is my dog, Teya. I took this picture last night when she refused to move and could barely walk. Eventually we got her outside to do her business. For those of you who didn't see my status, she has a tumor the size of a baseball on her spleen with surgery scheduled for Monday. We don't know if it's cancerous or not. My family is really having a rough time with this as we all love her a lot and we're forced to imagine what might happen if she doesn't make it through this. Hopefully she can make it through the weekend without the tumor rupturing or anything. I started this thread to post pictures of her and introduce y'all to her and ask for prayers and keep y'all updated. So... here she is:

This is a picture of her from a year or so ago in our garden. She was perfectly healthy then. I really like this picture of her because she looks so regal, which is what her personality is like anyway.

She also has a Facebook profile that I made as a joke a few months ago :hehe:

So.... yeah, prayers would be cool right now. For her and for my family. Thanks, pham!

She's back to her normal self! She even went to her favorite perch today-- on top of the couch!! :smile3:

We think the vet examination kind of bruised her a little, and that might explain why she's feeling better today.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS.

Now we just gotta pray that the surgery on Monday goes well and that it isn't cancer.

Oh she's very sweet - best of luck to all. Pets touch us in special ways and it's heart-wrenching when they get sick.

I agree. She's the only pet I've ever had, so this is the first time I've experienced something like this. Thank you for your prayers! :)

May St. Modestos, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, and the protector and healer of animals, watch over your dog during and after her surgery.

So, a little late, perhaps, but here:

Post-surgery drugged-up Teya:

Post-bandage removal + cone of shame Teya:

After removing the stitches and the cone of shame:

She's basically back to normal! I was rough-housing with her tonight and everything. She was barking and jumping and running after her toys. I'm so happy :smile3:

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS, PHAM!
