Lol, no. It's a digital map-making program for PC. I'm taking a summer course to learn it and it's probably one of the worst things ever. I'm curious if anyone else can understand what I'm going through. Probs not though.

I use it occasionally. I used to know all the ins and outs, but where I work can't afford enough copies to let me use it regularly, so I've forgotten a lot of stuff. If you have any questions, I may be able to help, but no guarantees.

I don't know how to use it myself but my dad gets ArcUser. He is a commercial real estate consultant. I have tried reading the journal articles sometimes and it makes my head spin!! So no advice but I am in awe of you...

Oh geez, don't be in awe...I hardly understand it myself.

It took me 4 hours to do one homework assignment yesterday for that stupid class. Props to your dad for using Arc!

I'm just glad this is a 5 week summer class instead of a whole semester...bleck!

I'm an environmental analyst - I work in cleanup of polluted sites. We make lots of maps of where pollution is and where people are to make sure the people stay safe. :)

That's super legit! I think if I were planning on getting a real job I would love doing something like that. I was majoring in Environmental Science for awhile but recently switched to Geography. What's your degree in? :)

Environmental Science. I always thought it's a good major because I can pet bunnies with preschoolers or do highly technical groundwater analysis all with the same degree and still be "using my education."

We are supposed to be getting a site license for it at work here soon but I have not used this yet. Our CS guy is really interested in using it though and I would love to see what it will do.

I'm a GIS Specialist in transportation planning.  I use ArcInfo 10 daily and should be getting 10.1 soon.  I should be a newly minted GISP by the end of summer.  My background is geography.  What can I do to help?

Confession:  I'm a map geek and so rarely hear questions about my field I get giddy when someone "gets" it.  Sorry if I seem overeager.  :)
