Ran into a Phatmass Posting Problem on the 'Nunsense Walking the Camino' section in open mic -- I'm posting the walk commentary each day, and I needed to get it posted or she would be out-of-range... and the post kept being eaten. Took 4 hours to post what should have taken 1 hour. Grrrrrr. And I lost 3 hours of reading time!!!!! Grrrrrr. LOVE going to bed at 4AM. :eek: Now you guys will have priority... after we eat. :) Last bits for posting, anyone? Ploof, Catholicterp7 and BG, congrats on the additional books & pages!!! Watch for the chanages for the next update: Page numbers 1971 (an impressive number!) and updated book in process info. Also, congrats to everyone on their reading! Totals are impressive!!!! Anyone else want to add more page numbers... wouldn't it be fun to be able to say we read 500 books and/or 50,000 pages together this summer? And I'd be careful.... I've seen pictures on the ARFink thread of Chrysophlax reading... and I bet Cartermia is doing the same thing. Always have to worry about the quiet ones..... Trying to post for the 4th time... grrrrr. 1) LWS: Glad you liked the comment about the romance novels. he he he. True story: The Chair of the World & Comparative Literature and Classics departments at my college had a shelf of romance novels among all the classics in his office. When I asked him about it, he blushed, and said that they were brought to him by the janitor of the college. She had found about 50 of them set next to a trash can for disposal. (obviously being discarded for good reason) She didn't speak much English nor could she read in English, but she knew his department was all about books... she didn't want to be someone who destroyed books... and she said she knew he would do what to do with them and knew that he could find a good home for them. He made a place for them in his office, because he knew that was important to her. And told all of US the story when we asked about them! I found that (and him!) to be one of the most Christian things I have ever heard of.... And I was a WCL major, and learned to love him as a wonderful, thoughtful mentor..... and a wonderful Catholic in a public university.... 2) LWS: Good point about the long thread (although we are having a lot of fun, aren't we?) Byz and I were thinking maybe he would just post the book count, and I could update the who's on first pages from time to time... and cough up the grand list at the end of the summer. Only concern is that SOMEONE might think we are pulling a fast one if we don't list all the books. Anyone want the whole list from time to time (maybe every few weeks?) 3) When does this completion end, anyway? Labor Day? Last Day of Summer? Byz....? 4) Dr B, I am very glad that God has constructed you so wonderfully! Praise Him!!!!! 5) Read the fine print. cough up the book names, and we will give you the page counts. they are already in my records awaiting the names.
