OnlySunshine
I cannot find an answer to this online. While my computer was being serviced due to a bad hard drive, I was using my mom's computer and the computers at school to do homework and create resumes. I stored the documents on a PNY Micro Slide Attaché flash drive and, when I got the computer back today (YAY!), I plugged the flash drive into the USB port. Usually, the other computers recognize it right away and install any necessary drivers. However, it doesn't come up when I try to plug into my computer which runs Windows 8. My mom's computer runs XP and I believe the computers at school run Windows NT Enterprise. When I researched my problem on the PNY website, it looks like their USB drives are incompatible with Windows 8. Is anyone familiar with PNY drives to know whether or not they are compatible with OS 8? I hate that I'm not able to use it. :(
Basilisa Marie
If the company website said they were incompatible, then I don't think there's much you can do. If I were you, I'd grab your mom's computer, pop in your USB, then sign up for and download Dropbox. It's a free program that lets you store and move files from different computers. Move your files to the Dropbox folder then let them upload. Then you download dropbox onto your own laptop, sign in and bam, you have access to your files. Nihil Obstat
Or just pick up a new flash drive for $10, transfer everything onto it using a different computer, and you are good to go. :P Flash drives are practically disposable these days.
arfink
Another option besides Dropbox is to just email the files to yourself. It's pretty lame, but works. ;)

OnlySunshine
I sent an email to the PNY tech support. The guy told me it is compatible with Windows 8. I emailed him back to ask him if there was a driver I needed to download. I'm hoping I can get it to work. I've got a Google Drive account so I could use that for the time being. :)

CatholicsAreKewl
I don't think phatmass will be able to help you with technical problems. Have you tried Catholic Answers?

That's what I was wondering at first but my mouse is hooked up by a mini USB and it works perfectly. :| Edited June 6, 2013 by MaterMisericordiae
Nihil Obstat
The requisite drivers for a usb drive are usually on the drive itself anyway.
