Ahem...

I hope you've gotten this long and ridiculous discussion about the Cinnamon Challenge over with, as I would like to speak about the actual, you know, SUBJECT OF THE THREAD.

It was the greatest day I've ever had, and I really do mean that. When I got there, I got out of the car and saw her waiting on the porch. She came up to me with a big smile and give me the tightest hug I've ever been given. She showed me the inside of her house, and then we went to her dad's office (He has an office building besides the house and works from home) and I met her dad, who was really cool and so nice. We then went into the house, she showed me her room, I met her brother, Adam, and then we went walking all over her yard as she showed me all of the "forts" she used when she was a kid, and we climbed up a tree and on top of a building (Mostly because I had never climbed a tree before), and then afterwards we had dinner (Which turned out to be spaghetti because she forgot to buy the ingredients for pizza), and I had a very pleasant meal with her family. We then took out the laptop onto the front porch and put on Footloose as I showed her my amazing dance moves I used when I was out scandalizing the neighborhood yesterday, and then we went back to one of her forts and talked for a long time. We made an agreement a long time ago that she would sing for me (She hates singing in front of people) if I sang the chorus for What Makes You Beautiful for her, so we did that then. After talking a little while more after that, we went into town and met Emily at a snow cone place, and then we went to the zoo. We spent quite a few hours there, and we had an awesome time looking around and making jokes all day about the debate Kate and I had last night about whether or not the sun or lions were more deadly. At about four we left and we went to a coffee shop downtown, and we walked around a little bit making fun of the art they placed there. Then we dropped off Emily and went to the park for a little bit, playing on the merry-go-round and some of the slides, and we went to a cool secluded tree pathway where the sun is completely blocked out, which she said was her favorite part. Then we had to go meet my mother and sister, so I jokingly said we should walk slowly to the car so we would take as much time as possible, which she laughed at but then took literally, and we walked super slowly all the way there. We went to the mall and met my mother and sister, where we hugged goodbye and I left rather sad, and I'm still sad, but I'm seeing her again on July 21st and I'll be with her for a whole week, so I should be okay. :P

Anyway, all in all, an amazing day.

I believe that's privileged information. ;)

But the answer is no. :P

Excellent. That was a test. You passed. Good Catholic boys do not kiss on the first date. :|

This was a date though, right?

No. It wasn't a date.

However, we did just get done talking on the phone for an hour. Yes, we just spend most of the day together, but what's another hour on the phone talking about how we're sad that the day is over?

During said phone call, she told me she loved me. Not romantic love, but platonic love is definitely a good start. Plus, she said her mom and dad loved me. Bonus.

Isn't it the best feeling when you know her parents love you too? :smile3:

It is! Her dad was so cool. He was really skinny, and he was 6'3". He towered over me, which was awesome, but he was so nice, and he had this really welcoming smile. Kate asked him what he thought of me after I left, and he said something along the lines of "He was quite a nice young man.", which apparently is a huge compliment coming from him.

Sweet! Sounds like an amesome time. I'm glad you went. And I'm proud of you for not doing the challenge, even if the reason was because you forgot. ;)

Well, we didn't quite "forget". It was more us going downstairs to do it, and then Kate asked her dad if he wanted to do it with us. He laughed and said he had just read about it recently and about how it was dangerous, but said that we just have to exhale the entire time we do it. Unfortunately, Kate's mother was there, and being a physical therapist, she wasn't keen on us doing it. Kate was really bent on doing it, but oh well. Next time, perhaps. :P

Do the 200 Warhead Challenge instead. Or the milk challenge, if you do not want to spend quite that much money.
