missionseeker
Does that zoo have a captive breeding program? Are they doing anything else to help endangered wildlife? I really hope so. :| If it's the zoo I was at when I was in Kansas, then no. It's kind of a sad zoo. (dodge city) and no offense meant to anyone. lol. HisChildForever
So, I talked to Kate on the phone last night and asked if we should do the cinnamon challenge or not. After discussing it for a few minutes, she said we should still do it, despite the (Alleged) dangers. Didn't I tell you she was amesome? Anyway, I'm getting ready to go. See you all later! :pope2: :dead:

God the Father
If the cinnamon challenge is not hard, you are doing it wrong. :| Just put it in your mouth, breathe slowly, and chew. It takes a long time to get down but as long as you don't start coughing and getting it everywhere it's not exactly a triathlon. It's unpleasant but if you approach it calmly it's far from hard. arfink
Has anybody died from the cinnamon challenge? Not yet. But there are many recorded instances of people being sent to the emergency room for allergic reactions of the skin or lungs, asthma attacks, and in one case, a collapsed lung. There are many more instances in which 911 or the poison control people have been called as a result of the cinnamon challenge. Obviously the greatest danger is getting it into your lungs, which if you gag and spew it everywhere and than pant for breath, is rather high. Rats who received a single dose of cinnamon in their lungs developed nasty diseases and died shortly afterwards. That's because cinnamon primarily composed of ground cellulose, which your body cannot digest, and which, like asbestos or coal dust, your body cannot remove from your lungs. It will stay there, forever. It's loaded with cinnamaldehyde, which the EPA says has "acute dermal toxicity; acute oral toxicity; eye irritation; dermal irritation and dermal sensitization." And concerning the "cram your mouth with stuff while on video" craze, there are other instances in which people have been hospitalized and killed. The "chubby bunny" challenge, which involves filling your face with a bag of mini marshmallows, has already killed 2 children who choked to death. http://www.wkrg.com/story/22040703/docs-to-teens-cinnamon-challenge-prank-dangerous http://www.ksl.com/?nid=1009&sid=19615121 http://theweek.com/article/index/243148/how-dangerous-is-the-cinnamon-challenge-really Edited June 6, 2013 by arfink
God the Father
Isn't the goal to consume it within 1 minute? If that's true then yes, that would be a lot harder haha. When posed to me, there was no time limit for the challenge, just to ingest a tablespoon of the stuff. I probably took between five and ten mins to get it all down, it was quite a few years ago.
