ToJesusMyHeart
I have a friend named Timothy. He converted to Catholicism from Protestantism this Easter. His parents are not happy at all about it; they're quite livid and feel betrayed, and it has created the single greatest barrier between them and Timothy that has ever existed. When he was growing up he was a very complacent child, very obedient, supportive, loyal, and helpful, but they see this (Tim becoming Catholic) as a breach of all of those things. This weekend, Tim and his family got into a huge discussion about it that deteriorated into an intense argument about how he broke their trust and dishonored them by not being more upcoming and upfront about wanting to become Catholic. He loves his family dearly. He needs prayer because he doesn't know how to save his relationship with them, or how to express to them what he now believes. Thank you for your empathy!
