graciandelamadrededios
Yes :like: For a while I thought it was one of the Barcelona ones, but I was wrong. It was Calatayud, which I have seen from a few sources like here, http://www.chretiensdorient.com/article-liban-le-carmel-melkite-de-la-theotokos-marie-mere-de-dieu-a-harissa-113263699.html I'm not sure what became of the Calatayud Carmel though, as I don't see their address listed anywhere anymore. But as for Harissa, they received a lot of vocations, as I'm sure you saw in my old thread there, http://www.phatmass....harissa-carmel/ It was really great to be able to see Mother Therese in that video! I also loved what the Orthodox monk said at the end :saint: Nice to hear from you, my dear friend Chiqui! I sent you a private email via yahoo regarding a Carmelite Document I recently acquired. Please do check your yahoo mail and please let me know if you receive them. Wow, Calatayud Carmel. I have never heard of this Carmel though, I heard of a Poor Clare Monastery in Calatayud. A Pope has a sister and I think an aunt there. I think it was the Pope who gave permission to St. Colette to reform the Poor Clare Order. Well, the monastery might have been transferred to another city or municipality, it usually happens when the original convent and its surrounding becomes noisy and busy and its no longer conducive to contemplative life. Their toques are quite larger than the usual Spanish Toque. Hey Gracian! Sorry I didn't take the time to explain it in the email, but the interesting thing about this Carmel that I wanted to share is that they are actually a foundation from Peru to Huelva, Spain. I haven't searched yet to try to find what Carmel in Peru did this, but I thought that was pretty amazing. And yeah, I only just heard of Mother Maria Isabel there, http://madremariaisabel.es/ She was in the Carmel in Elche, Spain. I've seen another site calling her a Servant of God. It's great to have more Carmelite possible saints-to-be in the running, like Mother Maria Josefa as well, http://www.madremariajosefa.es/ Also, I recently heard that the miracle for Blessed Mary of Jesus Crucified's canonization has been approved! This was in a newsletter from the OCD postulator general, although I can't find a link for this just now.
vee
A general question to anyone on this thread . Why are the sisters in teh above pic in the public chapel and not their choir? Are they not fully cloistered yet as in moving to a new foundation or...? It reminds me of seeing pics, videos of the current set up of St Therese's Carmel where they are not in their own choir but in first few rows of the public chapel. I dont understand why that is or how that works that they could not be cloistered for Mass?

Hence, the Nuns can attend Mass in the parish church and can occupy the front pews. It will be reinstated once the requirements for canonical enclosure are met such as walls, grilles, etc. As for Lisieux Carmel, I have not seen their video and I am not familiar with their set-up. Poverelli
Praised be Jesus Christ! Hi! I just tried sending a PM but it says I can't. I believe you have to post 10 times before it's possible. That's wonderful you're thinking of them and discerning Carmel. I will keep you in prayer for now. God bless! Hi Chiquitunga! Thank you for your reply.. I have posted 10x and still do not have messaging privileges. I am going to post an email of mine I never use:
poverelli@aol.com
If you do not want to email for privacy purposes concerning your own email address, I understand. However, I would be grateful for your help! I feel that your knowledge could really help me in my discernment of Carmel. Thanks. :) Sorry to hijack!
