MissScripture
Since summer is sort of at least thinking about arriving here in the northland, I am thinking about how desperately I need new sandals. I want something durable and comfortable for walking/light hikes. Any suggestions?
morostheos
I LOVE my Keen sandals. Super comfy and supportive. A lot of theirs are not very stylish looking, but some of them are better than others.
OnlySunshine
My friend LOVES Chacos! I, however, love Eastland sandals. They are SO comfortable! http://www.shoecarnival.com/shoe/Women/Clearance/Trek/EASTLAND/productDetail/76183/cat40017/?selectedColor=&selectedSize=&categoryNav=false&navAction=jump&navCount=0&atg.multisite.remap=false
TheresaThoma
I have a pair similar to Keen they are called Everest. http://www.dsw.com/shoe/everest+sundance+ii+sport+sandal?prodId=244332 They are so comfy and I can just slip them on and go which is great. They are also a bit wider than the Keen Sandals I tried on.
IcePrincessKRS
Keens and Tevas are pretty popular for that sort of thing. I don't actually own either, but I know a lot of people who have one or the other. (I'm actually interested in a pair of Teva sandals... just trying to decide if I should get them or not.) To Jesus Through Mary
My friend LOVES Chacos! I, however, love Eastland sandals. You have to wear them for like a week or so before the conform to your foot, but once they do, they are wonderful. I have had mine like 4 years and have been really rough on them and they still are going pretty well. Although I might get them restrapped next season. xTrishaxLynnx
I just wear flip flops, so I'm no help there. I really only came in here because I thought the thread was titled "Scandals?" :hehe: Sorry, Sis... :P
the171
Chacos all the way. Expensive, but so worth it. I've tried Keens, Tevas, etc.; Chacos are the best. Perfect for water sports, hiking, and just every day walking. Best shoes I own.

I really only came in here because I thought the thread was titled "Scandals?" :hehe: Sorry, Sis... :P If anyone is looking for some really comfortable flip-flops, I'd recommend Sanuk! They are made from recycled yoga mats and are so cushioned they make your feet happy. I wear them all the time (I don't have any sandals at the moment because my Eastlands wore out after several years). These are like mine that I bought from Dillards last year and they still look brand new except for a small spot on the sole:

Where I grew up, there is a program that sends groups of teens up to Canada to hike for a month and they need either Tevas or Chacos (in addition to hiking boots, of course), so I am curious what the differences are. Tevas (even after broken in) tend to hurt my ankles. I also like that Chacos are extremely adjustable. Feels like the shoe is made for you feet. Tevas just kind of drag along. Chacos really help your stride.
Alberto Guimaraes
Peace and Good! All right! Although being me a barefooter, I respect your ideas about sandals, because I also put it on whnen I can' t be barefoot. My favourite model is Birkenstock line.: http://www.flickr.com/photos/robaleiro/4862291185/in/set-72157626370618821 http://www.flickr.com/photos/robaleiro/5540429491/in/set-72157626370618821/ Jesus, Mary and Francis be with you and bless you! I like them as they have that whole behind the ankle strap so they don't fall off.
