An Obscure O.t Verse

Greeting brethren, sympathizers and others, may the peace and love of Jesus resound like a Gong in your hearts.

So the verse goes something like this... " Do not let mold and silverfish overcome your nation."

So i'm thinking mold(that fungus on your bathroom walls) represents recreational drug abuse, because mold is where penicillin is extracted from and that silverfish represents an ageing population, i.e :No one breeding. I think a minus population growth is very bad, we need to be at least even or in the plus growth rate. Anyhow these are my thoughts from a year or two of thinking about this verse on the odd occasion, it won't leave me alone, lol. Has anyone else ever thought on this verse, and if so what are your conclusions of this verse?

God bless.

Onward christian souls.

Jesus is LORD.

And also i have wondered and not found the answer as to whether refugees count as population growth or must it come from the natives.

I don't use e bibles. i don't know how to, fear of the unknown or lazy. Perhaps you could type in "mold and silverfish." and you will get the verse. I usually only use the computer for phatmass, music and to order my e cigs.

Sorry i don't know where to search for the verse, i just checked out an e bible someone suggested to me called e-sword and just found out that i have to download it and i can't unless my brother says it's okay to do so, i'm using his computer. Sorry can't help at present, you will have to find the verse yourself. Just type in "mold and silverfish" on whatever bible engine you use and something will come up.

Also i'm connecting this verse to another O.T. verse that say " don't convert the aliens or something terrible will happen," ( bible search that verse also, just type don't convert the aliens),so perhaps refugees don't count for population growth. I brought this verse to a priest once and he said it depends on how long they have been residing in a nation as to whether there classified as aliens and as to whether we are to attempt to convert them or not.

JESUS iz LORD.

Nihil Obstat

After this long, I do not think anything in the Bible could possibly be considered obscure. :hehe:

The OP did say it's an obscure verse...

True, but if you command Google to do an exact quote search, it should turn something up.

Could it be a translation of the Bible that only exists on this e-sword program?

Here's my theory...

1 Kings 8:37 / 2 Chronicles 6:28

"If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence or blight or mildew or locust or caterpillar; if their enemy besieges them in any of their cities; whatever plague, whatever sickness there is;"

...and I'm stickin' to it.

The context reveals that it's part of a series of prophesies from Solomon encouraging Israel to seek God's forgiveness no matter how far they stray and how really bad life gets for them due to their sins. I reckon it's a good reason to make babies too? :)
