TheresaThoma
At my parish we have confession starting at 8am on Sat (or basically when the morning Mass ends) and I think the official end time is like 10:00 but it will go longer as need be. We have three priests and at least two of them will be there hearing confessions so it goes pretty quickly. There are a couple other parishes around that have Confessions at different times (Sat Afternoon, Thursday Evening etc). Our priests encourage us to go to the other parishes if we can't make it to the Sat ones at our Parish. During Lent we have Confessions every Friday night (I think I would have to look it up again). Along with a parish wide penance service. That is powerful to see, so many people coming to confession, other priests coming to help out, just amazing. OnlySunshine
I forgot to mention before that there is a Church downtown that offers Confession every day before Mass. If you don't manage to get in there before, the priest will stay after Mass (unless there is an emergency). It's ALWAYS crowded when I go (which has been a while since I usually go to my parish).
