IcePrincessKRS
I'm trying to figure out what the heck this stuff is. Is it tobacco? Basically, yes. With flavored syrupy stuff in it. The type I use is herbal, non-tobacco, no nicotine. I'm pretty sure herbal shisha is generally made out of sugar cane pulp and flavored with the same sort of syrup that is in regular tobacco shishas. ETA: most people say the tobacco shisha gives a buzz that lasts for a few minutes, whereas the herbal doesn't since there's no nicotine. I've never noticed a difference. Usually I'm drinking while I smoke and that's where my buzz comes from, but I have smoked both types without drinking and still didn't have any sort of discernible buzz from it. CatholicsAreKewl
I bet it would work well with a smaller melon, though. If you could do it with a pineapple why not a honeydew, cantaloupe, or even one of those mini watermelons. I bet a graprefruit would be pretty rad, too. The possibilities are endless... I know! I've ordered it with a watermelon b4 at a shisha shack. The others would be interesting experiments. The only problem is that they waste a lot of tobacco. IcePrincessKRS
Really? I'm a lightweight :hehe2: . So is my husband. He once said he got a buzz off the herbal. I was surprised, and not entirely sure if he meant it. lol I know! I've ordered it with a watermelon b4 at a shisha shack. The others would be interesting experiments. The only problem is that they waste a lot of tobacco. Yeah, there has to be a way to customize it a little smaller.... I'm up for playing around with techniques and see what works best. I saw one on youtube made out of a kiwi, so I bet a smaller citrus like a tangerine would work well, too.

I'm surprised someone got a kiwi to work. Bee tee dubz, what type of hookah do yu have? Edited June 1, 2013 by CatholicsAreKewl
IcePrincessKRS
The kiwi looked pretty firm from the way he was scooping out the fruit to make the bowl. That's probably how he got it to work (better than a fully ripened kiwi). My hookah isn't a specific brand (like Mya or Khalil Mamoon), it was just a random off-brand (I shouldn't even say that, I don't know what the brand was. It didn't say.) that I liked the look of (and it's multi-hose which was a necessity). I decided I wanted to get something decent quality but cheaper and prove that I'd get use out of it before I went and bought something more expensive (I think I spent $60). That was about 2+ years ago and it's held up really well. I figure if it breaks I will invest in a nicer one. lol I tried looking it up but the one I got isn't on the site I ordered from anymore. I'd smoke a kiwi, because that sounds tempting. I think i'm allergic, though :paperbag: . Yay for noname brands! If you're looking into a new hookah, let me know. I'll share with you the best sites/coupon codes I've come across.
CatholicsAreKewl
How was your new shisha? I liked 2 out 3 of them. I got Lime/Watermelon, Peach/melon, and a flavor that tastes like this: Hmm... I just noticed a trend.
