IcePrincessKRS
Lol, I really want to make some to check it out. :) It's an acquired taste... I've had the "made at home" version and the store bought. (I'm too lazy to make it myself...)

add
Hippies are explained in the Book of Ecclesiastes from the Hebrew Bible and translated by the "Birds" (1965) To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn) There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn) And a time to every purpose, under Heaven A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn) There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn) And a time to every purpose, under Heaven A time to build up,a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn) There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn) And a time to every purpose, under Heaven A time of love, a time of hate A time of war, a time of peace A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn) There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn) And a time to every purpose, under Heaven A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time for love, a time for hate A time for peace, I swear it's not too late Edited May 27, 2013 by add

porziuncola
Lets say you have a "hippie" visiting for a few days, what are the best ways to prep your house for their visit? Eliminate all shampoo? Get backyard tent ready instead of air mattress? Thoughts? Put hunting trophy heads on the walls of every room, NRA magazines in the bathroom, and serve hamburgers with american cheese and ketchup every night. And fried chicken for lunch. And coco puffs for breakfast. And get a nice fur door mat.

Nola Seminarian
Kombucha is God's gift to the World (obviously not as great a gift as salvation, but you get my point). Jesus loves it and so do i.
missionseeker
The nearest Wholefoods is a couple hours away, so we definitely won't go there. We have a co-op that we won't shop at, because they felt the need to get political and alienate their members. I do love the organic/natural foods section at the regular grocery store, though. Anyone else a little weirded out by the fact that most of the food at a grocery store is apparently unnatural, since it is not in the natural food aisle? :hehe: I know you're joking, but ... You'd be surprised.

PhuturePriest
Nah. ;) Side note: I think this is a good resource thread for anyone looking to host a hippie or wanna-be hippie... even if most of the suggestions are ludicrous. :P I hope I'm not becoming a hippie. I'm starting to really get into organic stuff, and I'm starting to wear flip flops for the first time in my life. I also hear before I got my hair cut on Wednesday that it was really long and shaggy like a hippie...
