morostheos
I think if you had, you'd probably remember; it just came out this year. lol, oh, right. ;) I think he has written a few essays in the past on evangelical Catholicism then? I remember reading something several years ago... I think I must be thinking of his book The Courage to Be Catholic which John Allen has called the manifesto of evangelical Catholicism. Byzantine
I had him. Easy, and a pretty decent class. Hahn or Bergsma would be much better though. I enjoyed his Church a lot. Most of my friends are taking Bergsma, but by the time I could register, his classes had a combined waitlist of about 21 people, I think. lol, oh, right. ;) I think he has written a few essays in the past on evangelical Catholicism then? That's possible. I've heard The Courage to Be Catholic is pretty good.

I took his PBS II class this spring, I had to get in off the waiting list. Actually, he usually drops his waiting list. Meaning if people want to get in they need his signature. Very hard to follow due to all his tangents. Brilliant author but I was not impressed with him as a professor.

Yeah I've heard about this. He also has poor ratings on ratemyprofessor. Of course that site isn't complete gold but I've found it fairly accurate. Basilisa Marie
Hahn's good, don't get me wrong, especially some of his conversion story books. But I also think he's wildly overrated.
Chestertonian
Peter Kreeft is my hero. Oh, no one asked? Sorry about that.:-)
Brother Adam
Yes, I have. He says "Evangelical Catholicism" too much. He needs to shorten it to EC. It is a dense read, but I am not as appreciative of it as I am of Forming Intentional Disciples. It is basically an apologic for the urgent need for the work of the New Evangelization to be accepted on the local level (to get the terms and ideas out of the ivory towers and into the streets with the people actually do the work of Evangelization). While he makes a good case for this unfortunately he has the tendancy to classify and label people into groups in a way that negates them.
Brother Adam
Yeah I've heard about this. He also has poor ratings on ratemyprofessor. Of course that site isn't complete gold but I've found it fairly accurate. He is an excellent professor for graduate classes. It seems as though it is difficult for him to relate to undergraduate students as long as he has been in the business, he quckly jumps over your head, realizes he is going too deep, and has to come back down. I loved the two classes I took with him on the graduate level though, especially Theology & MInistry of the Word. He is really not a diffcult grader though. In all of my time as an undergraduate and graduate student, Dr. Hildebrand is by far my favorite teacher. Dr. Bessler, Dr. Bergsma, and Dr. Minto are close behind him. Dr. Martin is like a fine wine - great class on the Trinity, but too much will make your head spin.
