My healthcare in Canada has been outstanding and beats the carp out if what I had in the US.

I don't have much medical experience other than an interest in medecine, a love of biology and a senior first aid certificate, but I can remember my dad telling me he had something like that as a teen. He'd sometimes go to bed and wake up bruised/inflamed or the likes very randomly and no one knew what was wrong. He felt fine, it was just weird. He went to the doctor, the doctor got him to lie on his back, took a pen and drew a massive 'z' on his back. Sooner or later some sort of welt/bruise thing came up and it was realized he had rather sensitive skin. You may not have sensitive skin per say, but it is possible that you might have something similar, especially because it's over the spinal region.

Look after yourself bro, and please see a doctor!! (or befriend one very fast)

Sometimes bruises I get take a little while to develop, or I take a while to notice them.  They might be from karate? Are they in a fairly consistent pattern?

As long as you don't have any pain or numbness in your spine, you probably don't HAVE to see a doctor, unless it gets worse.  But if you start getting sharp pains in your spine, go see a doctor.  My dad did, and it turned out to be cancer. Wooo!  Luckily they caught it in time. :)

But your job probably doesn't involve testing exploding transformers.  So you probably don't have cancer.

Hmm, i don't really know if this applies for braces but if you can find a school of dentistry nearby, dental students will work on ur teeth for cheap.

there's actually an orthodontic school at one of the universities here that will do cheap braces. Maybe there's one near FP, too.

You just passed a blackbelt test, if you aren't covered in bruises you didn't do it right.

Well, yes, but these are bruises only along the spinal column, and they've been there for about a month or so.

You should know what a carp is because you're full of it. I live in Canada, have serious health issues, see all kinds of specialists on a regular basis, have spent weeks in the hospital here as well. Don't talk about what you don't know. The three times I needed surgery, by a cardiologist, high risk OBGYN, and a neurologist, it was done in less than 2 hours in each case.

Yeah see that would have been pertinent information to share. :)

Have they changed color?

I don't think so. Just red.

Peyton, being the kind, loving, caring soul she is, messaged me and asked me to show her pictures. She said the lines are indeed stretch marks (I'm growing! Yay!), and that the bruises are normal bruises sustained a few weeks ago while doing something, and they're in the final healing stage. I've never had bruises that lasted this long, but I guess I banged them up pretty hard.

Not saying it's anything scary, but I don't want you to go down a similar road that I did, Miles. I was way to close to losing my life, and didn't even know it. We waited way too long because we didn't know where to go from where we were. And now I have permanent (and painful) medical consequences from how long it took for doctors to diagnose my problem. Just be safe and check out whatever it is as quickly as possible and go from there.

Edit: Just saw your last post. That is good news.
