I Need Someone Medically Smart

So, for the past few weeks I've been getting painless (Though sometimes they are slightly painful) bruises up and down my spine. Also, I have lines that are running horizontally across my back, but I was told those are probably stretch marks from growing. Does anyone have any idea what these bruises are? The internet has proven to be completely unhelpful, because every link is for a toddler or small child, and not for a teenager.

To help narrow it down: I haven't been feeling any numbness, and no pain other than common aches from being thrown on the ground and such from karate and sitting/lying down wrong for too long.

I have some medical knowledge but I've never heard of unexplained bruising on the back.  My research suggests that it may likely be due to a strain of muscles.  Since you've been physically active lately, I would not doubt this is the issue.  However, if it continues and you are worried, it's always best to check with your doctor.  Here are some websites my research turned up:

I get bruises on my lower back. I've got lots wrong with it and sometimes my spine leaks down there. A bruise is blood beneath the skin. I'd have it looked at.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like it could be something hormonal or auto-immune. Certain hormonal deficiencies or over-abundances can cause stretch marks and bruising. An auto-immune disease could definitely cause bruising. I'd talk to a doctor and push to get some blood work done, especially if it keeps getting worse.

The internet is not a good place to ask for medical advice. if you are concerned, go to a doctor.

He doesn't have medical insurance. Tried to convince him to go to a doctor, but he wants braces.

Hmm, i don't really know if this applies for braces but if you can find a school of dentistry nearby, dental students will work on ur teeth for cheap.

True story. The healthcare in Canada is atrocious.

Everything in Canada is atrocious.

Trust me, Miles, as someone who has both braces and chronic health problems, choose testing and treatment over fixing your teeth (unless you have some dental problem where you'll lose all your teeth or something).
