Gabriela
Thanks to the excellence that is xkcd, I have found a great new addicting game called Geoguessr. Its genius lies in its simplicity. There are five rounds in a game. For each round, they give you a random location from Google Maps. You have to guess where in the world you are. You get more points the closer you place the marker to your spot. My usual score is somewhere between 8000 and 10000, but here is a screenshot of a record I will probably not beat for a very long time. :smile3: I got a couple really lucky spots, including one where I was able to guess within less than a kilometer because of a few street signs. :smile3: I would have broken 16000 if I had realized I was in Okinawa, and not Osaka. I feel like I should have got that one. SO, it is contest time!! If anyone else wants to post screenshots or URLs, I will keep a running scoreboard. But if you just tell me a score, I will not believe you. :| Two things: 1) There are an awful lot of purple ponies in your sidebar. 2) How in the world do you manage to spend so much time on the internet AND be a Catholic genius simultaneously? Gabriela
BTW: How did you change the dock like that? What do you call that? Is it an app? A "theme"? Some kind of download? Show me where to find stuff like that. I want a different dock! (Sans ponies.)

Show me where to find stuff like that. I want a different dock! (Sans ponies.) I actually changed each icon individually. I found some pre-made pony icons and used those. One of them I made myself. The tricky part is probably just finding different icons.

Gabriela
I think I figured it out. Candy Bar is an application that allows you to download "iContainers" with icon sets in them. Once you download Candy Bar (which is free), you can go to sites like the Icon Factory and download bumloads of icon sets that will turn your dock into stuff like this: http://iconfactory.com/freeware/preview/poex Which is just flipping a.wesome. :-D Edited June 9, 2013 by curiousing
Nihil Obstat
Yeah... if there is a way to automate that process I would highly recommend it. Changing all my icons manually was mind-numbing and frustrating.
Tony
The highest I ever got was 15,000 some odd points. One round, one of the buildings told me exactly where I was at (Wollongong, Australia) and I got over 6,000 points for it.
cmaD2006
I'm impressed with my own 14876. I got good at trying to find a clue as to where I was at from the picture :) Not touching that site though for a while ... I've got 16 days before my retreat and I've got to like start weaning myself off of the net, and just ready for 30 days of silence :)
AnneLine
You got 13905 points in total. I was doing SO WELL (and nailed the one in Denmark spot on!) until I got to the last one... and was 6000 miles off course! http://bit.ly/19x6Kvw This is addicting!
