Didn't get there. :(  But will tomorrow with Fr. C. at three.  Then I get to see K and T and their new baby!!!  (T's been avoiding me unfortunately, since I got home...)

Babysat 4 little girls under the age of six for my cousins more than once, and boy am I tired.  Happy Thanksgiving Pham!

Edit:  Oh and dad's first words upon seeing me, "When did you get so much grey hair?!"

Confession was awesome.  Fr. C. gave me a very minor penance, precisely because I had already beat myself up.  Got to see T and K and baby B., turns out they weren't avoiding me, as much as his mom has instituted a very strict set of new rules in exchange for letting them stay there instead of be homeless, such as one friend at a time over, once per week.  Under the weather now, heavily stuffed up, barely able to speak after 4 sections of lecture.  Going to pick up some mucinex or pseudofed on the way home, then gotta clean!  Mom's coming up later this week for a play we're going to!

I swear grad school causes premature greying

So true!!  Won't ask how it is for you, but I've got some "can be mistaken for blonde" patches now. x.x  And almost the entire left eyebrow.

Tell your dad that parental harassment causes premature greying  ;)

/win.  So true....and love the purple Super Llama avatar!

Everybody seems to like my Liturgically Correct Llama... And BrandylynMarie Pointed out that he has 4 distinct socks... and one is slightly pinker than the others!  He really IS a super LLama!!!!!

I actually fell in love with this one, but Phatmass says it is too big for an avatar.... but isn't he glorious?

And I do think 'Socks' is probably a better Advent Llama... it's cold this time of year.

Sorry about the stress color 'highlights' - yes, they add wisdom and grace, but there is a cost....

Headed out to class, but yay unillamacorn!  (I had not realized it was liturgically apropos for Advent!)

A guy I've known since Kindergarten just posted on Facebook, "I'm glad to have my son back" and this link to the local paper, describing how his ex-wife without custody rights took their son from his school...  I'm single, and my stomach still dropped at the thought of that poor kid being abducted.

Yes, BG, Socks is a liturgically correct llama.   But I thank BrandelynMarie for noticing those socks!    Good eyes there!!!!

My usual Llama has a green background...for ordinary time.

One Big Carmelite feasts and seasons, he gets out his little brown sweater!   He he he

Will have to find him a full wardrobe!

Using the colors and sights & smells of the various liturgical seasons makes them come so much more ALIVE!!!!!

Very glad your visit with K, T & Baby B went so well!!!!  And that the evil spirit's attempt to make you all grumpy with each other was thwarted!!!!!!  :ninja:   The pesky ESes will do just about anything to try to try to foment deceit... and discontent.... and ill feelings, and all too often they are VERY good at their jobs.  But they have an Achilles' heel -- they hate Christmas Carols.  So let's all start playing that Christmas music LOUD and get them to get lost!!!!

And... will pray hard for your friend, his son, and his son's mother.   One of the Seculars in my community who died last January used to pray, month after month, day after day for the 'abused, abandoned, aborted and abducted'.  We kinda used to cringe to hear her start the 'litany' -- but yes, those groups DO need prayer.... and we will all pray for them today.  Did you know that my husband, Mr. AL, used to work with Mark Klaas and met Polly Klaas, his daughter who was abducted and killed?   Talk about prayer becoming way, way to real.... let us pray for all of them today......

I'd not have noticed them if you two hadn't pointed them out!  I didn't realize all your llama-tars were liturgically correct, but that's really neat! :)  And if you can make the smells waft online, you. Must. Patent. The. Technology. And. Use. It. To. Fund. Phatmass. Phorever!

And so true...heh.  I've actually had a ton of Christmas music on! :)  Mom is up for A Christmas Carol tonight at the theater on campus, a friend from my church is directing the play, and we put up my tree in the apartment last night to Christmas music before the Sound of Music Live.  Which was absolutely amazing too!  Mom was surprised during the commercials when I pointed out that the plot really wasn't too far fetched, and we had a nice chat about how religious orders tend to work and the discernment process and vows, etc.

That's a wince-worthy prayer, but good of her to pray for them, though I'm sorry she's passed away. :(  I didn't know that Mr. AL used to work with the Klaas's!  That's awful, and will pray for them :(  Also praying for Nelson Mandela's family and friends, as well as the repose of his soul.

First day in about a week that I've felt normal :)  Just scared the poor janitor though, who wasn't expecting to find me here.  Car got hit yesterday in the parking lot and the person left a note, still no call back from her insurance company's adjuster.  It was pretty reaffirming though to have someone honest enough to leave a note rather than do a hit and run!

Tonight is Pancakes at Midnight (known by the students as "Jesuscakes") and can't wait to go!  It's a wonderful opportunity during Finals of each semester to allow the church community to reach out to the students by serving free pancakes in the parish in the middle of the night.  :)  Last semester, I think it was over 1,000 people showing up over the course of the two nights, out of a student body of 16,000.

WOW!!   What a great idea to feed pancakes to students in middle of Hell Week!   It would make it more like 'Purgatory Week' I would think!!!!  and THAT is impressive attendance!!!!!   Now I wanna come!!!!!

So sorry about the crumpled car, but YES for leaving notes, and a prayer adjuster calls soon.....

Are you surviving end of semester BG????  Or doing better than that?

We hope it makes it more like Purgatory. :)  Usually half the students are drunk, but they really do appreciate it a lot.  For many, it's one of the highlights of Finals Week, to hang out with friends, get free food, and we let them color on paper put out on the tables!  And the attendance IS impressive; B. and I will wait until about 12:15 to head over, so the line will at least start moving inside, rather than stand in the cold.

And yep on the car and thanks for the prayers...other than that yes.  Feeling better again physically and spiritually.  Got invited to a Mormon Christmas Party, going to decline probably, I have no desire to spend an evening commemorating our Savior's birth by being in combat with the Sister Missionaries assigned to the area... <.<  I was told "I don't want to convert you, I won't try, but they will".

Actually give me a sec and I'll edit with a photo or two from last year's Pancakes if I can.
