Truthfinder,do  you think he'd object to the human labor?  Or just use Bishops?

AL and TheresaThoma, I'm ashamed to admit I had to google a bicycle taxi.  x.x

I think bicycle taxis powered by cardinals would be aesthetically pleasing... especially the ones with the VERY long trains....They could function like a canopy and then furl out like a flag.....

SOme are modern and flashy,

but there are also some nice USED options, if he really wants to make a statement.

And they are available in both white AND red, if he wanted to give the driver options...

They don't seem to come in basic black... probably too hard to see them on the road, so more dangerous.

LOL.  Oh those!!  Yes I agree, a Cardinal could drive the red one while the Pope sits in it!

Edit:  Productive Day so far: Cleaned the apartment, did the dishes, balanced my checkbook, renewed my apartment lease, cleared out my study carrol since that ends August 1st or so, went grocery shopping, walked 5k, deleted approximately 2800 e-mails I didn't need from my inbox in my school e-mail account, and after lunch I'm going to try and get the last of my courts class converted and uploaded to D2L.

Will I get in trouble for using the warn system to send you personal messages whenever your inbox is full?

I could delete things in the inbox?  If you want it to be private, everyone with access could see a warn.

BG, wouldn't the people love to be "in contact" with the Pope that way? But bishops, oh yes, no quibbles there.

Whoa, so if I wanted to send a message to all of you, I could utilize this system?

Yep.:)  Every mod/admin would see it!  If you want the PM option, I just deleted 50% of my old PMs exactly!  (I know this because suddenly it tells me I have 50% left open.)

I think they would!  Look at how the faithful mobbed his car in Rio when it went down the wrong street...  (I feel bad for the poor Brazilian military officer in charge of the 30,000 troops that are supposed to provide security and were nowhere to be seen.)

I felt sorry for the security that was surrounding the Pope's car thinking how bruised they must be from all the people trying to touch the Pope but instead hitting, by accident, the guards' back.

Good point, hadn't thought of that :(  (Either the guards by the car being bruised or the electric assist)

Diss chair mailed me back, "Attached please find my comments. I think we are still a ways from defending your proposal. I want you to reorganize chapter 2 to make it clearer as to the build up for why you are doing this study. Chapter 3 needs a lot of work..please see my comments."  I've done 11/84 comments so far, but to say that I feel like the world is crashing down around me is an understatement.  Research Topic Approval Forms (which get signed after diss proposal is done) for May graduation are due August 15th.  I won't have a job here next year if I'm not done this year, due to large numbers of people behind me who will need one.  I won't have a full 4/4 load unless I can defend proposal this coming semester, which would mean a serious blow to my income (and ability to repay loans).

Edit:  One minor mental breakdown and a visit from a friend/mentor later, somewhat better...

BG Major hugs on the dissertation and paperwork stuff.

Thanks I really appreciate that!!  :)

No matter what happens, you will get through.

Thanks, I know that's true, but still...heh.  Going to swallow my pride Monday and see if the Applied Research Lab is open on campus during summer; if it is I'm going to go beg them to help me with my survey construction.  Your aunt has my prayers. :(

So...to recap the last few days (bad):

  • My friends J. and A. lost their baby in a miscarriage and then the next day their dog got hit by a car.
  • Rather soul crushing dissertation, but thankfully friends helped pull me back on my feet.
  • Woke up to see the news on FB that there was a shooting back home in my small town, within fifteen minutes walk of my house, that's left 4 people dead.  No one has yet given a statement as to why they decided to rush the 4th person, who was suffering a gunshot wound, to a hospital twice the distance away of the closest hospital, but they died en route.  Two of the victims were a father & son delivering newspapers.
  •     If FB is to be believed (from someone who lives on that street), one of the victims is my dad's (pretty much only) friend's son.  If so, that's dad's friend's only child,       because they lost their other child hours after being born.

And (good):

  • I have a great phamily.
  • There are friends who truly care about me, with one prof walking in from his house to take me out to eat to calm down after the diss. news.
  • Reorganized the office.
  • Adoration!
  • My parents are both okay at home.
  • Cleaned apartment, replaced the stuff to make it smell good, balanced the checkbook, deleted approximately 2800 e-mails i didn't need in school account.
  • Hoping to have most/all of one class prepped before going home today.
  • My friends K. and T. had false labor (thankfully the baby wasn't coming early) but were in a panic.  They feel much better now that it was false labor.
