Seven77
I haven't be needing to consult Scripture Catholic for a while so when I went to the site, I was surprised to see some questionable material, including a promotion for a book that seems highly critical of the Vatican in regards to Fatima. In my mind, this is very unacceptable… I don't think this website is worth recommending even though it a wealth of scriptural apologetics. I think the creation of a new, orthodox, apologetics concordance is in order… just putting it out there… Edited May 18, 2013 by Seven77

dUSt
Maybe we should create a scripture reference section on phatmass?

EmilyAnn
Oh dear. Pity, because it is a good site (despite a few misrepresentations of Scripture). But any Fatima conspiracy stuff sends me running for the hills.

Here is a speech where the author of the book is critical of the Vatican. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXj-atEETUY

Nihil Obstat
I thought it was run by John Salza. Oh, you are probably right. I get the sites confused.
Apotheoun
The poor man (Salza) wasted his breath. Lord deliver us from the pride of thinking we know something! I really don't understand Mr. Salza, but that is probably because I have never been that interested in private revelations. Quite frankly I found his video boring. Nihil Obstat
(Ron Conte is Catholicplanet.net and .org, which are also bad sites from which nobody should bother taking anything seriously.) Edited May 19, 2013 by Nihil Obstat
Apotheoun
Didn't Mr. Conte predict that Hilary Clinton would be elected President of the United States in 2008?
Nihil Obstat
Didn't Mr. Conte predict that Hilary Clinton would be elected President of the United States in 2008? Mr. Conte has predicted a great many things, most of which never happened, or never will happen. :P I believe he predicted that not only would Hilary Clinton be elected president, she would also experience a conversion and become a great pro-life leader. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
I don't believe fatima is absolutely without error. "Man reveals the will of God imperfectly but all scripture is useful, " St Paul the sword.
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Plus it is probably more geared to some and not all, like some are more made for the carmelite spirituality which is catholic but some are made more for the dominican spirituality etc etc but all being christian and united by the holy sacraments, sacred tradition and the holy bible. The only exception is i guess the concecration of russia, that was an exact order for the pope. I honestly don't know much about fatima, but it can't be any greater or lesser than the prophecies of mary through fr gobi, i rekon it is not made for the whole though there may be some paticular parts that are, it is the fatima spirit of the holy catholic church, as are many works of the saints, some can relate to all some only to some some bits and pieces of multiples, but again in the end we are united by the holy sacraments, holy scripture and sacred tradition. In all truth some don't understand holy scripture and/or sacred tradition and the saints works teach such people in a different way. Same faith, different tool. Onward christian souls. Jesus is Lord.
