Stories Of Crushes

I was going to write this in another thread, but I decided to just make a thread of it so others could share their experiences so we could laugh at ourselves.

Once when I was ten, I was at this Bible camp thing. I had this huge crush on this girl there, MacKenzie Heft. She was easily the most beautiful girl there, and I spent all week following her around like a lost puppy. At the end of the week she asked me to see my phone (My dad gave me one because we just had a tornado and we lost everything, so he wanted to give me something), and so I gave it to her and she and her friends walked away a few feet and turned away from me. Five minutes later she came back and said "Thanks." I was puzzled, but being a boy I just figured she wanted to check the time or something and went on with my day. Later, I was looking through my phone, and I realized she had put her phone number in my list of contacts. I was walking pretty tall after that, but for some moronic reason I never called her. Oh well...

I also remember at that camp that we played Red Rover. They called me over once, and I ran straight to her arm and her friend's arm. Not being a mountain man, I didn't quite have the strength to break through. I didn't mind, though, as that meant I got to hold hands with her.

Crush stories are terrible. Why make a thread? lol.

Although, I have a celebrity crush story that's embarrassingly amazing. I definitely lean towards being attracted to tall, dark and handsome guys. And I guess Eduardo Verastegui was no exception. But I actually met him. Unfortunately, I met him after a 14 hour shift of catering and kitchen staffing and I really just wanted to go home and we still had an ice cream social to do that night (I think was at 10pm).  SO I went into the room and there were all these people around the table. And I just needed to get to the damn table to make sure that there was enough ice cream and it had enough ice, so I squeeze in and I still can't get there because there's this freakishly tall guy standing there, so I say "Excuse me, please, I really need to check the ice cream" and he turned around and looked at me with the MOST gorgeous eyes I have ever in my life seen, I was seriously awestruck by how gorgeous his eyes were. I wish I had eyes that beautiful. They're even more amazing in person than in the pictures. lol. ANYWAY, so I say excuse me and he says "Oh, I'm so sorry, excuse me" which if you've ever worked caterings or food service, a customer being apologetic rather than mean and cranky and vicious and awful was staggering, especially after a terrible day and long day. Anyway, I didn't even realize it was him until later that night and then I was crushed because I missed my chance.

So.. there you go.

In second grade, I pinned my crush up against a wall and said, "Now I have you exactly where I want you."

He's gay now.

The guy dressed as a cowboy at my formal this evening. He even walked like a cowboy. 'Nuff said.

My first crush was a kid in preschool named Cameron. All I remember about him was that we used to sleep next to each other at nap time.

I have seriously embarrassing crush stories. In primary school every Valentine's Day, my mum would encourage me and my siblings to give a card and some chocolate to the people we liked. The guys I liked would just eat the chocolate and throw away the card.  :paperbag:

But seriously...? Okay.

Good character, plus just the right amount of beard for me. The guy has to know how to handle the facial hair.

When I was in high school there was a pretty cute guy who was on the swim team with me. We were just friends, and I never told him how I truly felt. When he started dating some random guy I crushed him.
