Because we can go over and over this again but it's the same thing.  Someone comes in and says "I think we should dress this way" and it drags on and on.  Google "modesty" on Phatmass and you will find ENDLESS threads.

the standards were brought up by the website, already... I just gave a tip on how they can be adapted to modern type of clothing. :)

And how does one find a "cami" that does not reach more than "2 fingers breadth below the pit of the throat"??

I would think at that point you would only be able to wear a full t-shirt underneath - and unless you live in Utah, that generally looks odd.

I wear my cami backwards lol :P it works if the tag is not sewn on (but printed).

Yeah, I'm not wearing my cami backwards. I'm perfectly fine with people seeing my chest. (Obviously not low as heck, but I have boobs. Shocker! It's hard to hide them.)

Let's also mention how these rules are much easier for smaller girls. I have a lots more curves than the average gal which makes shirts and skirts more prone to tightness (I'm fine with it). It's either that or Frump City. These "standards" are also stupid because they just focus on one body type.

You raise an excellent point. Although - these rules aren't that fabulous for thin girls either. If I don't wear form-fitted clothing I look like a 12-year old boy. The clothing swallows me whole.

The main issue I find with standards such as these is that they always have the wrong focus: stopping your brothers from sinning. This is not what modesty is about. Modesty is about showing your self-worth as a human being, not about covering your body up with a completely unflattering trash bag so us men won't sin.
