EmilyAnn
Seriously, this again? This has been debated endlessly. Please search for the topics. And for the love of all that is good and holy close this topic.
OnlySunshine
Why do these threads always pop up around spring and summer?
Annie12
Lol, I'm sorry guys. I'm just checking that I'm not crazy for thinking it is dumb!
jeffboom
I thought we already agreed on men wearing women's one piece bathing suits. That is the most fair compromise i have heard so far.

HisChildForever
http://www.catholicmodesty.com/MarylikeStandardsofModestyinDress.html You would draw more attention if you dressed like that than if you strolled down the street in a bikini.
MarysLittleFlower
You would draw more attention if you dressed like that than if you strolled down the street in a bikini. Why do you say this? It just says - skirts below the knee, shoulders covered (and preferrably more), no low necklines, no transparent stuff without backing :) I dunno.. that doesn't seem dumb to me at all, and it's how I try to dress. For example, here's an outfit that seems to cover these areas and it seems pretty modern and trendy: http://pinterest.com/pin/11047961557951120/ (if you google "striped maxi skirt" there are tons of examples like this cause they seem to be popular this summer, as long as they're not clingy/too tight, and if the neckline is too low on a dress, it's easy to just wear a cami under :)). And let's say for the winter, it doesn't have to be a maxi skirt, but it can be like a mid calf wool skirt worn with boots. MarysLittleFlower
I gave some tips on how these standards are not unrealistic but it's possible to make outfits that are both modern and fit with the website. I don't understand your response. What is wrong with the outfit example that I posted? Edited May 11, 2013 by MarysLittleFlower
OnlySunshine
I just gave some tips on how these standards are not unrealistic but it's possible to make outfits that are both modern and fit with the website. I don't understand your response. Because we can go over and over this again but it's the same thing. Someone comes in and says "I think we should dress this way" and it drags on and on. Google "modesty" on Phatmass and you will find ENDLESS threads.
morostheos
and if the neckline is too low on a dress, it's easy to just wear a cami under :)). And how does one find a "cami" that does not reach more than "2 fingers breadth below the pit of the throat"?? I would think at that point you would only be able to wear a full t-shirt underneath - and unless you live in Utah, that generally looks odd.
