WillT
Good Eats. Alton Brown is the man! Yes. Of course he's on several of the shows now, but Good Eats is the best!

I would rather miss 4 months of mass than watch 30 minutes of Barefoot Contessa. I can not stand that Ina lady! I'm more of a Paula Deen type guy. I like Barefoot Contessa (though I can't eat much of what she makes) and Giada de Laurentis (same problem). The only thing I don't like about Giada is that she says "so now..." too often. It kinda bugs me after a while and I switch the channel but the recipes she makes are interesting. Not all of them are good, though. She made a salad of Belgian endive, arugula, and Brussels sprouts (all of which I love) but when I tried to make it, the combination was not right. It looked better on TV. I followed the directions to the "t" so I don't know what happened.

LinaSt.Cecilia2772
I like Barefoot Contessa, Good Eats, and I love Giada Di Laurentis' show Everyday Italian too. That lady knows how to cook. On cooking channel (Which is a different channel from food network, but plays a lot of the shows previously showed on food network) I love French Food at Home with Laura Calder, Spice Goddess makes awesome Indian food dishes, and I know there are others but I can't think of them at the moment. I feel like just watching Paula Deen will give you clogged arteries. The amount of butter and mayonnaise that woman uses is INSANE!

Ryder
Good Eats is good to learn why and how you do certain things in cooking, and i like that he brings in historical meaning. But his actual COOKING is bland to me. I dont see his passion for food, just for the science behind it. BUT i loveeee him as the Iron Chef host...he's the best. The cook ive learned the most from are Ina from Barefoot Contessa and Giada from Giada at Home. Guilty Pleasure:....Pioneer Woman. Anyone? lol. Guaranteed coronary artery disease. Tasty, nevertheless.
Ryder
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It is anti-chain restaurant. aahhh yes. This show is awesome. The food on the show is always on point and makes me want to start up my own random eatery! But its actually really hard to be successful in the restaurant industry, i think. So risky. I also have a weird liking for Sandra Lee's Semi-Homemade show.....even though i dont know what semi-homemade is...isnt cooking usually semi-homemade anyway? Then she started covering up more, probably many people thought the same haha. shes gorgeous though, and i love her cooking. Ina says "who wouldnt want that???" or "who doesnt like that???" too much, to the point she doesnt seem sincere anymore.
