mysisterisalittlesister
My showers take half an hour because I spend so much time thinking and imagining things. Ahhh same here!! I get so distracted because of my imagination.
Nihil Obstat
I'm just impressed that you beat the game period. The Legend of Zelda is always so hard for me because I am so amazingly terrible at the puzzles. I usually need a walk-through with me at all times so I can get through the dungeons. That being said, The Legend of Zelda is really amesome, particularly Ocarina of Time, though I think I love it the most for sentimental reasons, really. Dat Water Temple. Were you even born when it came out? :| Ocarina of Time was the first game I really loved. :hehe: It was a real treat playing Skyward Sword a year and a half ago. Can't wait to try the next one. I probably will end up getting the entire WiiU system just to play that one game. I'm not much of a gamer, but Legend of Zelda is just the greatest. PhuturePriest
 Ahhh same here!! I get so distracted because of my imagination. !!!!!!!!!!!! You are officially the second person in the world that I know who has such a terrible time with imagining things! The other person is Kate, which is just awesome. What do you usually imagine? I imagine crazy stuff, like what my life would be like if my family died in a car wreck, or what my life would be like married to this person or that person, or sometimes if I'm going to see a friend, I imagine the conversations we will have and the possible (And sometimes, absolutely ridiculous) things that could happen. Dat Water Temple. Were you even born when it came out? :| Ocarina of Time was the first game I really loved. :hehe: It was a real treat playing Skyward Sword a year and a half ago. Skyward Sword is one I love because the temples are easy enough for me to figure out. :P
Nihil Obstat
Yeah, the challenge was not quite on the same level. I'm hoping they bring it up to Twilight Princess levels for the next one.
PhuturePriest
Yeah, the challenge was not quite on the same level. I'm hoping they bring it up to Twilight Princess levels for the next one. Twilight Princess was simply amazing, from the graphics all the way to the artwork and gameplay. They really stepped it up after the train-wreck that was Windwaker and it's horrid graphic design. Don't get me wrong, I had a walk-through on my lap all the way through Twilight Princess (And still got terribly stuck at the ice dungeon for a month), but it was amazing. :P I hope they return to those graphics at least, challenge aside. I can see why many people preferred the Twilight Princess graphics, but I actually am more partial to what they did for Skyward Sword, with the more vibrant colours and softer character designs. Based on the small bit of promo stuff they showed for the new game, it looks like they're tending more towards the Skyward Sword design for the next one as well. I think I found the trickiest temple in Twilight Princess to be that one in the city up in the clouds. I'm having trouble remembering though. :P

The whole time I played the game I thought I was playing a video game for an anime. :P As for the Sky Temple, I never even did it. I just handed it to my brother and said "Here. Tell me when you're done." A week later, he figured it out. :P The problem I have with Twilight Princess is that whenever I got stuck (Or sometimes not even then) I would just go to the map and do what I usually do, which is screw around talking to people and doing random games. :P I don't have ADD, but when it comes to Zelda, I might as well have. Nihil Obstat
I guess it was more anime-esque. :hehe: Especially Zelda's character. She was the classic childhood friend trope.

I thought she (As well as every other girl in the game) wasn't very attractive in Skyward Sword, where as she was absolutely gorgeous in Twilight Princess. Nihil Obstat
Basically, since they were portraying different 'incarnations' of Zelda, and different worlds, that's the reason for the very different character designs. The Twilight Princess Zelda is very much a princess. She's very regal, and very much a warrior. That fits with the plot of Twilight Princess, with her kingdom having essentially been overthrown, her in exile. Skyward Sword had very different themes, with Zelda, not even a princess this time, having to go through a process of awakening. That's why a much more innocent, carefree character design made sense. At the start she was just an innocent, maybe even naive young girl, who over the course of her own, separate adventure, discovers her nature as an avatar of the goddess. The same comparisons can be made for the environments, with Twilight Princess intended to be quite dark, for obvious reasons, rather war-torn, and Skyward Sword being extremely natural and (typically) full of light. Nihil Obstat
Also, it's a nearly criminal shame how much Zelda is absolute garbage in SSB: Brawl. Seriously. She has no legitimate strategies to win. The best she can hope for is not to lose too embarrassingly.

Yeah, I understand completely. They were going for a more lighthearted approach with Skyward Sword, which was fine with me. I was actually somewhat disappointed when I first saw the graphics at the trailer, but when you get down to playing it you realize it's not a big deal, plus you soon completely forget anyways. Also, it's a nearly criminal shame how much Zelda is absolute garbage in SSB: Brawl. Seriously. She has no legitimate strategies to win. The best she can hope for is not to lose too embarrassingly. Hahaha. I don't know if she's bad or not, since I've honestly never played a girl on a game before (To my knowledge). I always opt for the guy when there is a choice. Nihil Obstat
Hahaha. I don't know if she's bad or not, since I've honestly never played a girl on a game before (To my knowledge). I always opt for the guy when there is a choice. Basically, over several years, serious SSB players are able to develop a tier list, ranking characters from most to least effective, when played by people of equal strengths. Obviously it's a very difficult thing to test, but it is possible. Some people deny that these tiers are valid, and quibbling about minor details is certainly relevant, but frankly there is just no justification for claiming that every character is equal. They simply are not. For a game of that complexity, there are always going to be some characters who, for one reason or another, are more effective. For Brawl, everyone agrees far and away that Meta Knight is the best, all things being equal. It's a combination of his size and speed, as well as his weight, his combo interruptions, his glide mechanic, and his move priority. So they usually call Meta Knight S tier. Olimar, Diddy Kong, Ice Climbers, and Snake generally round out the A tier, and a couple characters hit a grey area between A and B. Zelda is generally put towards the bottom, although Ganondorf almost always places dead last. Of course at the end of the day it always comes down to individual skill, and some people play better as certain characters who match their strengths. I play best by far as Mr. Game and Watch, who is generally considered a high-middle/lower-high tier character. Also some characters, because of individual quirks, are particularly strong or weak against certain other characters, which can spice up character choices at times.
