I was waiting for you to post on this thread. I don't quite know what the joke means, but oh well. :P And that's awesome! I need to look at the list thingy to see which one that is, but it's cool anyway. :P

xTrishaxLynnx
It just means 3rd degree black belt, I think.
Nihil Obstat
One or two kids from my club are testing for shodan in a few weeks. I do not like the one kid very much to be honest, but whatever. He has put in the time.

He has put in the time. Haha, I know the feeling. Karate is unfortunately like everywhere else, and there are people with flaws in them, and sometimes, a lot of flaws. There are a few people (Black belts, no less) that I know who are so cocky and believe they are above everyone else in society because of their rank. PhuturePriest
I don't know what ever happened to good ol' 'murican boxing. Boxing is great if your goal is to destroy the joints in your arms. The constant impact on your wrists and elbows means that by the time you are forty your arms will be pretty much done with working correctly. Nihil Obstat
The incorrect grammar with Judo and Jujitsu is really beginning to annoy my traditionalist tendencies... Strictly speaking, that should be jūjutsu. :| Haha, I know the feeling. Karate is unfortunately like everywhere else, and there are people with flaws in them, and sometimes, a lot of flaws. There are a few people (Black belts, no less) that I know who are so cocky and believe they are above everyone else in society because of their rank. Yeah, pretty much. I have been working with this kid for a good ten years now, give or take. Maybe I just see him too much. :smile3: But yeah, even worse than the McDojo is those people who think that getting a black belt turns them into some kind of mystical Asian warrior monk and the bearer of secret martial wisdom. Luckily I do not personally know anyone like that, but they typically are not hard to find. :lol4:
