brianthephysicist
Warning, some people would find this scandalous, but it's not crazy bad so please just take it in the manner it is intended.

I talk to myself and learn a lot from the conversation. When I am with people I tend to smile a lot, but if I am extremely tired, my expression will be blank and sometimes people try to figure out why I'm "sad" even though I'm just as happy, just not smiling. Brony FTW. Catholic FTW. I am always hungry. Always. I always have the urge to eat something, anything, even after my stomach is full and my stomach already hurts because I've eaten too much. There's no off switch. I just live with it all day every day. Interestingly enough it makes fasting easier for me because I'm so used to being hungry and not eating. I can stretch it for days at a time if I'm even a little bit determined. Seriously afraid of heights. I want to throw up if I stand on a chair and look down. I hear a lot of people talk about how they can look into another person's eyes and see their soul, but I look into another's eyes and I don't really see much of anything interesting. I think my equivalent is looking at people's hands. So much of a person's past is carved into their skin, especially in their hands. It's amazing to study people's hands. Sometimes I specifically won't look at a person's hand because there's too much of their soul present there and I feel like I should have some type of permission to know that much about them. There's a high level of intimacy there for me. I have difficulty accepting gifts. I honestly don't need much but I see so many people around me with so little that I feel awkward for accepting presents. I tell people to pay it forward so terribly often because of it. What about everyone else, what makes you weird?
BG45
I look perpetually stressed. Even when I'm not, I apparently seem to appear to be. Catholic and Brony as well. I've realized there's a point where I have to use the bathroom and if I do it, my productivity shoots through the roof. if I don't, I'll become lazy and procrastinate. I always try to lecture while moving, both to keep attention from the class and to keep myself from fidgeting at the front of the room. I walk in a graveyard because it's quiet and no one can see me there, because I always feel judged at a gym. I tell people that I'm not a fan of kids, but I melt the instant a baby is in the room and I've played babysitter for more than one faculty member. I have an obsession with llamas. EmilyAnn
I'm terrified of the dark. I don't make eye contact or even really look at people when I talk to them unless they're someone really close. I hate accepting any kind of help. I own about 100 Beanie Babies and I refuse to get rid of a single one.
IcePrincessKRS
You had me right up till you said Brony. :P On a serious note: I don't like being the center of attention. I don't tell people my birthday. The only people I really care if they remember is my husband and my mother. My feelings get hurt when my mom forgets, even though I know she's just really busy. I don't like being touched. People who receive hugs from me don't always understand that it's a Big Deal that I've gotten comfortable enough to give them one. Like BG I hate going to the gym. I am not as strong or as fast as other people. I hate the thought that people will see me working out. I won't even work out with the door open if my husband is home unless we're working out together. I don't often wear brighter colors because I feel like I look like an old person trying to look young and hip. I could make a meal out of Snickers bars and not feel guilty. I'm addicted to amazon. 90% or more of my online purchases come from them. I haven't been to a salon in about 8 years.
PhuturePriest
I like One Direction and have a Harry Styles poster in my room. I hate lifting weights, and prefer to run instead. I enjoy watching cartoons from my childhood and going to the swings because they remind me of happy memories, even though I know I'm much too old for them. I always smile and laugh every time I'm not around my parents. Laughing and smiling in front of them makes me so uncomfortable. My favorite book is currently Anne of Green Gables. I... just forgot what I was going to say. Moving on. I have written romantic stories since I was eleven, and am currently about to write another one. I've never taken an English class in my life, and yet want to be an English teacher in spite of this. My best friends in real life are girls, and I wouldn't really have it any other way. I've always spoken so much easier to girls than to guys. I'm much more relaxed when around girls than guys, which is weird in itself because for men it's usually the opposite. I still want to say what I wanted to say earlier, but I have accepted I have forgotten and will probably not remember.
IcePrincessKRS
I hate lifting weights, and prefer to run instead. I am the exact opposite. I hate to run, much prefer to do weights. I will run on my elliptical, but never outdoors unless I absolutely have to.

I can do fifty push-ups and fifty sit-ups or more if I need to, but when it comes to lifting weighs, I'm just not that muscular and I can't lift a whole lot, and I can't lift very well because I'm laughing too much at my inability to lift to do it properly. :P
ploomf
I check my alarm clock like 5 times before I can fall asleep. I usually have to get up 2-3 times to make sure I locked the doors too. I love Little House On The Prairie and own just about every autobiography ever written about Laura Ingalls Wilder. I love Disney music. I don't like chocolate. MissyP89
Most people would give anything to stand out ... I would give anything to be a nameless face in a crowd. I absolutely hate washing my hair. I never lost the startle reflex all babies have. Because of this I'm extremely flighty and jump out of my skin at the slightest thing. This is still true if you warn me something loud is about to happen. I'm ticklish everywhere. I always have to make sure I have the same amount of deodorant on both sides. So I count. Bologna and cheese sandwiches remind me of my childhood so I eat them as comfort food. I usually eat each food on my plate one at a time, and have my drink when I'm finished. I get super nauseous if I don't eat within an hour of getting up, or whenever I get hungry.
Lil Red
i eat sammiches/burgers in what other people consider to be "upside down". i am obsessed with nail polish and nail art. i think i have almost 300 bottles of polish. and i want more. i usually overthink things and always think the worst whenever someone tells me that they want "to talk to me". i usually always take things extremely personally. i just realized that it's okay to like girly stuff and still consider myself to be badass. i also just realized that just because i may be overweight, doesn't make me a bad person. this was actually a huge revelation to me, that i hope will help me not beat myself up over it as much. i am a huge stickler for manners, even moreso now that i've had kids. i triple check to make sure my doors (house and car) are locked. i'm claustrophobic. it causes problems, sometimes. Yeah, I'm a little freaked out right now at how similar we are...
MissScripture
In addition to the similarities to Missy: I am awkwardly quiet when I am in a new situation, until I feel comfortable with people. When I am comfortable with people, it's hard to get me to shut up. I am a pack rat, but I hate clutter, so I'm constantly at war with myself about keeping stuff. I love the smell of fresh paint, because it reminds me of theatre. I never learned how to do the girly stuff, so I never wear make up and am terrible at doing my hair. It wasn't until I started dating my husband that I would wear skirts, and I still insist on wearing shorts underneath them (especially now that I have a 1 yr old). I hate the feel of nail polish on my fingernails, but I don't let other people see my feet if I don't have it on my toe nails.

When I am comfortable with people, it's hard to get me to shut up. I am not awkwardly quiet, but I feel awkward in new situations. Often I am stand-offish and won't open up to people until I've gotten to know them better. I was having a discussion with some of Matt's family around Christmastime about things like that one one of our brothers in law said to me "That makes me feel better. When I first met you I thought you didn't like us." I was slightly mortified, because in the beginning I had been afraid they wouldn't like me so I wasn't as open, but I also remember the occasion he was referring to and it was a completely different scenario. I told him "No, that wasn't it at all! Matt and I got sick with a stomach bug that weekend so we stayed holed up away from the rest of the family so we wouldn't get you all sick! I was being courteous!"
MissyP89
I freak out when I can hear a person chewing and sometimes even if I can hear them breathing. It makes my skin crawl and I can't focus on anything but the sound. I hate armpits so much and will never, ever wear tanktops. I don't shave my legs unless it's going to be over 70 most of the days of the week. I've had the same hairstyle for ten years. I can never remember which toothbrush is mine. I always leave the last bite of food or the last sip of water in the bottle.
MissScripture
My eyes water when I see someone else's eyes watering, or if I hear someone talking and they sound like they have a bad cold. Just thinking about it, right now, my eyes are watering to the point that it almost looks like I'm about to cry. I can't sit still and do nothing. If I'm watching tv, I have to have something else to work on, or I feel like I'm completely wasting time. Sometimes I snort when I laugh. My son makes this funny face with a scrunched up nose and breaths really fast sometimes, and we couldn't figure out what he was doing, until I finally realized that he was imitating me laughing. It's rough being mocked by a one year old. rotfl
