GregorMendel
New Jersey, the diners tend to be pretty amazing. Paisan!!!!! Exactly right, pick a diner, any diner, in New Jersey, and you will have a fantastic meal. Where else can you get a reuben sandwich, a stack of silver dollar pancakes, and literally any pie imaginable at 2am? :) I also have to give props to New York. From Manhattan to Montauk, you will find incredible restaurants who take on any classic from any ethnicity, but it helps if you have a taste for italian :) Finally, if NY is the epicenter of the traditional, the adventurous eater must visit the pacific NW, especially Portland, just like BM said. BM once took me to a cafe filled with optical illusions named punny russian composer (ten points for whoever can guess the name!), a chinese tea house and a turkish restaurant all in the same neighborhood :D

missionseeker
Might as well just ask everyone what state they live in. But for me, I can't think of a favorite. I don't have the passion for food like most people. I'm not from any of the states I picked. Lol.

GregorMendel
Stravinsky. Close, its The Rimsky-KorsaKoffee House and its magical :D As for the food trucks, I've been hesitant to try many, but there are a few around Rutgers that serve amazing pub food right on campus :)

Spem in alium
The food in Minnesota was pretty great :) Though I am a sucker for the food of my home city and state. NSW for the win! Edited May 2, 2013 by Spem in alium
