Nola Seminarian
Poor white (german/spanish-like from Spain from my daddy, and english/french from my momma) boy [we call ourselves yats] from a mostly black New Orleans neighborhood, went to Catholic school all my life by a great sacrifice from my parents and mawmaws and pawpaws, and am blessed to be in seminary from the wonderful support of the people of the archdiocese of New Orleans

IcePrincessKRS
Obviously over half the poll voters didn't have a problem with it... those that did had an option to pick while still participating in the poll. :idontknow: A lot of people haven't voted because they thought it was weird, too. Opinions abound!
franciscanheart
:) I did answer what a lot of people said. I won't post my financial situation in a public manner (I don't even post my work place in Facebook!). The Hispanic divisions really got to me though. A Central/South American is Hispanic/Latino. I don't understand why that's so upsetting. I'm Latina and not from Central or South America and I don't mind...

Some people just want to be offended, I guess. I don't mind that it groups Europeans together, even though there are Europeans who look different. My New Zealand friend automatically knew I was German simply by looking at me. I know people are British simply by looking at them. It's nothing to be offended over. CatholicsAreKewl
Maybe a little too white. Edited May 8, 2013 by CatholicsAreKewl
PhuturePriest
I'm sorry but...you seem a little white yourself. That's the joy of calling someone "whitey". Plus, Germans are not always neon-white. For instance: He's completely German, but not super white. That's because we Germans are awesome like that.

Adrestia
That's the joy of calling someone "whitey". Plus, Germans are not always neon-white. For instance: He's completely German, but not super white. That's because we Germans are amesome like that. Can you post someone who is "super white" so I know what the standard is? Just kidding, I really don't care. The tiny subset of genes that give physical characteristics are given way too much importance.
