arfink
Just a simple poll. I'm trying to figure how many people here have work/vs don't have work, and how much. Just curious.
Gabriela
Excellent question. The results are horrifying.
CatherineM
Retired but busier now than I was as a working lawyer.
Basilisa Marie
I just quit my job. But I'm transitioning from grad student to sustainable employment over the next few months. Hopefully! Optimism!
Nihil Obstat
I have several employment. I work part time. Normally I go to school full time, but since school is out for the spring and summer I will be taking on more hours at work. Then taking a break to get married and go on my honeymoon. I guess technically that is "not enough", but it is a temporary situation. Edited May 2, 2013 by Nihil Obstat
Maggyie
Right now we are able to save about half our income. But we are acutely aware that this could change in the blink of an eye. Hardly anyone has security anymore and it's a shame.
Gabriela
Maybe the question ought to be: "How much income do you have?" Because I am busier than I ever care to be, but my income is not nearly sufficient for my comfort (and I am talking the most basic of comfort). ploomf
Right now my family and I have enough to make ends meet and have a little extra. Last year at this time this was not the case.

Young people gotta get on their grind and learn how to adapt and change.

BigJon16
Dead-end high school job and an awesome part time position at my parish. Off to college in the Fall, so I'll be losing both. I also don't have a family to support. All my money goes to me and myself.... Until I don't have any money. Then I'm broke. Empty wallet, but full iPod, if you get what I am saying.. I am content to let people frame the question as they will. This is hardly scientific. :)
carmenchristi
Making ends meet.... Job 1 pays well, but is a once-a-week deal. Job 2 pays ok, and I can choose my hours. Not saving anything, but that should change when I finish school. (hopefully!!!)
