Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
I just went to the supermarket and everything is dressed, the apples, the bannanas etc. And most animals are dressed to with fur. We are naked in our most natural state, along with elephants and rhinosuras lol. Also i remembered an old testament verse that says " do not look through anothers window." That for me is definately leading to sex being a private act and possibly washing and bathing also,if washing and bathing was done in the home,so possibly this scripture hints at no nudity. So this obscure verse may be your key.
Nihil Obstat
Well, I think this debate has run its course. Anybody who is reading can see pretty clearly what the Catholic position is. I feel no need to respond any more here. And Jim, please refrain from sending me any more PMs with links to that ridiculous Tradition In Action site. That site is crap. That site is croutons. http://www.traditioninaction.org/HotTopics/e001htWarIndex.html#war This website? That claims bombing Baghdad was the "just international punition" for the "The premeditated crime scare and offend American society" (sic)? Almost tossed my cookies there. I'm all down for traditionalism that is not tinged by jingoism, or a puritan influence for that matter.

Archaeology cat
I will agree, the problem is that Americans are perverts. If she is within the ages of 25-40 I know for a fact there are young boys out there that will objectify her and gaze with lust. However under most cultures where people are not so perverted I would agree with you. My son had been around breastfeeding and thinks nothing of it. I also really don't think every man who sees me feeding my child is lusting, especially since little is actually visible even though I don't cover. When I visited the seminary in November, they had a hallway full of statues of Mary, and one of them had a completely uncovered breast of Mary feeding Jesus. I don't think one person had impure thoughts at seeing that. Breastfeeding is a natural thing and it is so much healthier than formula, and I hope you don't let anyone talk you out of it. Society has way over-sexualized breasts, and I wish it wasn't that way. oh, don't worry about me giving up - I'm stubborn. ;) to expand: the answer isn't for women to cover up as much as possible, or have extremely cranky babies. babies gotta eat, moms gotta feed them. i'd say the answer is simply for moms to breastfeed their babies whenever and however is most comfortable for them and for their babies - and to be encouraged by those around them. just for funsies, here's a pic of our now Pope Francis with breastfeeding moms & their babies (pretty sure he didn't ask them to cover up before getting blessed): you rock

I don't know why it was such a huge thing to no longer breastfeed, and why breastfeeding is so looked down-upon.

Tufsoles
Don't ever get married. Don't ever have sex if you do get married. Don't ever change diapers if you have a baby girl. ^^ Do you see how messed up the above saying are? Yet they are the direct result of your saying women are an occasion of sin. Women are not an occasion of sin. I am very disappointed in you for saying so. I am giving you props since I ran out.
