Nihil Obstat
No, didn't you know that Yolo is a place in California?????? :P Nah, know what you mean! Was homeschooled and I'mma now in college.... you have no idea how awkward the day was when some person with whacked out ideas called me a lesbian when I was thirteen and I wasn't sure what she meant... AWKWARD! I thought you were a guy.

Was homeschooled and I'mma now in college.... you have no idea how awkward the day was when some person with whacked out ideas called me a lesbian when I was thirteen and I wasn't sure what she meant... AWKWARD! There was a time when I made a very intentional decision to stay naive about the language. I was homeschooled through high school, so it was quite possible. But why I'm quoting: I was with friends/classmates/acquaintances one day last year and one of them decided (because we're all in the honors program at our school, and one of the first things we read is The Iliad) to start saying "I'm a Lesbian! I'm a Lesbian!" until some others made her shut up. We were in a park.... And it sounded more awkward (and untrue) to the passersby than just "I'm from the island of Lesbos!" (also untrue, but it fit with the rest of stuff then), which is what she meant.

Nihil Obstat
UMM... I thought you knew better. Nope. And that is certainly not the first time such a situation has occurred.

ChristinaTherese
Nope. And that is certainly not the first time such a situation has occurred. Let's see.... I thought Light&Truth was a guy (I don't know about others), Franciscanheart added that she's not a guy to her sig so that people would stop thinking the contrary, I'm sure there's more I don't know about. It's just so easy to know in VS and so much easier to be wrong everywhere else.

Papist
I just learned what "YOLO" means. I thought it was a website for the longest time, but through the magic of BlimeyCow, I have learned it is in fact an acronym. The more you know. Ok. So how is this proof you are homeschooled? PhuturePriest
Ok. So how is this proof you are homeschooled? It's a joke, because I'm completely uninformed and behind on the times.

PhuturePriest
You sure that is due to being homeschooled? :child: Hey, Kate didn't even know what a thread or forum was, so I guess everyone has their level of ignorance about things.

PhuturePriest
It's that Japanese headscarf thing that symbolizes perseverance. Your quick Googling skills inspire me. The "Japanese headscarf thing" part makes it seem as if you knew already, but seeing as how that's pretty much what Wikipedia says word for word, you have failed, young grasshopper.
