Lil Red
"The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them - words shrink the things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure that your enemies would love to steal away. And you make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for want of an understanding ear." (The Body, by Stephen King) There are days when I reach out to another person so I don't feel so alone, and have it be implied that I'm lying about important things. To reach out and get slapped down is so demoralizing, and even though I know there are people out there who are supportive (you know who you are), it hurts when someone who is supposed to be supportive, isn't. I just needed to reach out to my pham and get some encouragement. The next 3 weeks are going to be really hard for me, and I'm feeling very fragile and hurt and panicky. Every time I think about this situation, my head starts buzzing and I can't breathe very well. I can't run away from this situation (although I wish I could), and I need some tips/prayers/support for coping when I feel like I'm going to break down. I can't tell people to shut up, and tell them off, those aren't options. Drinking heavily is an option though, so if you know good drinking recipes, post those. ;) Thanks pham  Edited April 25, 2013 by Lil Red

CatherineM
Baileys and ice cream. Usually vanilla, but when stuff is really bad mint chocolate chip. Try to remember another time when you were this scared and how it felt when it passed. Focus on that feeling that will come and visualize how you are going to celebrate when it's over. GeorgiiMichael
Watermelon Fizz.Ingredients & Measurements: 4 cups Watermelon (Diced) 2 Limes 1 1/3 cup Ginger Ale 2-3 Chunks (Frozen) Watermelon 3 oz. Gin Instructions: Pour the 4 cups of Watermelon in a blender. Pour through a strainer to get all the chunks out. You should have about a cup of watermelon juice. Fill each cup with ice. Pour about 1/3 - 1/2 cup of Watermelon Juice over the ice. In the glass, squeeze the juice of one lime. Add 1 1/2 oz. of Gin into each glass. Pour in 2/3 cup of Ginger Ale & Stir. Garnish with frozen watermelon & lime wedge. I liked the sound of this because of the Gin, even though I'm not usually someone who goes for fruity drinks. Good luck, Red, we're here for you! brianthephysicist
You are awesome, Red. Even in times of trouble, you are an example of how to live. I know we've never really gotten to know each other, but let me know if there's anything I can help with, even if it's just an ear to listen. I will be praying for you and your family. let_go_let_God
Red if there is anything you want specific prayers for, feel free to send a message. I will keep you in my prayers and ask my hubby and MIL to pray as well. BTW I'd be honored if you needed a friend to call and chat with. DH and I are fairly talkative people. God bless- LGLG
Winchester
On days like that, it's possible to feel alone even when there are a bunch of people around. At least, it is this way for me. I usually just clam up, if I don't return fire.
