TeDeum
Probably the most ignored genocide of all time in relation to the number of people that were killed. May their souls and the souls of the the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Anastasia13
Probably the most ignored genocide of all time in relation to the number of people that were killed. May their souls and the souls of the the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. It was also systematic. They started with the intellectuals who would figure out what was going on, then the men who could fight, then the women and children, then the elderly and infirm. They also moved progressively in geography. Some claim that it was deaths caused by war. The locations of deaths differ from where the war was happening. These facts are in addition to the quotes by various people including Ottoman Turkish government officials. A lot of the Armenians population in American came in two rounds: around the time of the genocide following the seminarians* who came here and helped develop connections to help family and friends, and after the USSR fell. The seminarians were Protestants who did not have Protestant seminaries in the Ottoman Empire. They were Protestant because the missionaries who went there eventually gave up on converting the Muslims and moved to the Orthodox. God used conversions to Protestantism to save lives at least. The reason the US does not acknowledge it is because of geopolitics in the Middle East. The Turkish government pays lobbyists in the US to influence our Federal congress. The Turkish Lobby as the US organization is called also tried to blacklist members of the Armenian National Committee, an organization that among other things advocates for genocide recognition and education (I got my Never Again bracelet through them).
