Timber To Sell

We have about 40 acres of woods. When my father bought it, he was told the timber would be good to sell in five years. That happened to coincide with the bad turn of economy in 2008/2009 and no one could buy the timber. The market has recently gotten a boost and there are people scouting for timber. My dad's dream for the last 15 years has been to sell the timber and start a farm. 

 

He's cleared a couple of acres on his own, but if the timber sells, he can quit his job next year and start his farm.
